It's a great pub full of character with a laid back easy Sunday vibe. It used to have awesome food and service which took a dive for a while, but new management seem to have it back on it's feet. we had the steaks and the Sunday roast which were excellent. Good hearty meals with a generous portion and good... More

Great location and blessed with a big (albeit not always that well maintained) garden. But oh dear, it goes down hill from there. We are local and regularly end up at the Malborough in the summer because of the garden. But its is expensive and the food is poor. The bbq idea just seems to be an easy way to... More

Sad to see some not so good reviews. My daughter, granddaughter, and Derek our cavapoo walked through the door at midday Friday and from that moment had the most fab service (and food). We were told where everything was, and swiftly brought drinks and menus. We said we only had an hour, so the meal which was excellent was with... More

So expensive. So so ambience, dinner good one night, bad the next. nice summer garden at the back. But really, the price?!? I think two pints and crisps was £11 or so...

Oh wow, this place is just fantastic. Often you find a dog friendly restaurant or pub and the food is not particularly good but you have to go there because you have a dog which you cannot leave because you are on holiday or something. This is not so with the Malborough. The food here is fantastic. All freshly cooked... More

The setting is very nice, great garden with good seating for alfresco dining, has a slight South African feel to it. We started with the bbq prawns £8 for 3, not great as originally frozen and then bbq'd to oblivion. The steak was good , well cooked and full of flavour but it was £25. When I asked for some... I've been here many times over the years. It's great in the huge garden for drinks but isn't quite there with the food. I think they've over stuffed the garden with tables, there's barely any room between them and they could do with more staff on a busy Sunday lunchtime. I had a cheeseburger. The burger was nice, fries standard... More

Is a pub, normal so, normal food, but great surprise: you will never guess from the street that both the internal room and the garden are so nice, warm and enjoyable. We went on a team of 20, service was goos enough and quick enough even if we were a big group. Bbq food is better than other dishes.

My family and I visited this pub by chance last Sunday late afternoon and we were amazed at the size of the beautiful garden. We were offered table service which was just right. The young girl who served us was happy and very friendly. My children loved the menu that was also a colouring competition. The roast beef was mouth... More
