I arranged a surprise birthday party on The Boat at Richmond Bridge for last weekend and Mel, Devon and chef, Rose were brilliant from the time I made the booking until the end of the evening. Everything was perfect: the food, champagne, bar and, even though it was freezing outside, it was lovely and warm on the boat. Thank you... More

Location certainly works for the B at RB. But the food more than held its own too! As we descended the gangplank the outside tables looked mighty appealing, but sadly (and not surprisingly) they were all reserved. We considered moving on, but the sun was spilling into the boat's interior just as brightly, so we opted to stay. And I'm... More

Amidst the huge choice of café/bars and restaurants in Richmond, this stands out for its prime location and its delightful host. The picturesquely converted old vessel is moored right by Richmond Bridge, alongside working boatyards that add to its pleasingly unpretentious character; and it was a great pleasure in mid-October to sit on the deck, eating and drinking only feet... We only stopped off here for coffee, but it was worthwhile. The latte was really good and what better location than sat on the River Thames watching boats and wildlife journeying around. service was good, although my coffee did get a bit spilt on it's journey to the upper deck!

Had lunch here with a group of friends. Menu not huge but more than enough choices for everyone to choose something nice. Lovely setting and staff very friendly.....we couldn't fault it.

The major reason to eat lunch here was to be on the Thames..we ate outside on a July Wednesday and almost left before being served...it was very busy and the servers could not keep up with the orders. After about 45 minutes, we received our orders--a crab salad sandwich and some fish and chips...which were OK but nothing special...for lunches... More

I had breakfast here once before and had to return. There's just something magic about eating inches away from the water and it's fascinating watching the little boats passing. My husband had the full English and I had eggs benedict. Both were delicious and service was good. We'll be back. :)

The Boat at Richmond Bridge is an assuming restaurant located on a boat (of course) tied at the pier. The view is amazing and the servers are so friendly and helpful. I ate there twice during my recent visit to Richmond. The first night I had the fish and chips. The fish was the best I've tasted. Not at all... More

I went here for a work event so maybe this would explain why the food was very bland, it must have been cooked and prepared in a rush as every dish was very basic to say the least For almost £20 for steak and chips (which I could have made better myself) I would recommend going elsewhere for dinner. You... More

Enjoyed eating at this attraction which is permanently moored in the Thames by Richmond Bridge. There is seating inside but I guess this might get rather crowded if the weather wasn't good. We had the "Boatman's platter". Three different fish pate dishes with a bit of salad and bread. Washed down with a reasonable Rose, it didn't break the bank.... More
