Sunday lunch with dog in tow

Dog friendly, water bowls. Attentive staff where nothing was to much to ask for. Whitebait and salmon starters very generous portions. Roast lamb and beef melt in the mouth and was asked how I liked my beef cooked (rare) rather than being served a lump of charcoal you tend to get most places... read more

I've been to the Lass a number of times since discovering its location up on Richmond hill. The food is excellent, although not particularly cheap. The staff are extremely attentive and polite. There is a good selection of beers and wines and the layout and furnishings make for a cosy and comfortable environment for eating and drinking. There is a... More

The pub remains open until midnight and is the only place that is still open to get a drink after a late night film in Richmond. At this time it's usually quiet and you can really appreciate the intimate atmosphere of some of its quiet corners. Because it is far enough away from Richmond you won't have to endure the... More

This is the first time I have visited the Lass and I took my family along for sunday lunch. We booked to sit in the restaurant area at the back of the pub and was greeted by a young lady who took us up to the table. From start to finish the staff were extremely friendly and initiative and compared... More

Table for 5 booked, had to wait 20 minutes for them to print more menus. The food was second rate, starter Whitebait over cooked. Main course, all ordered the same, steak pie, waitress comes sorry only got 4, no problem order sausage and mash no cabbage, back again sorry only got 3 pies, we order something else. Turns up 3... Having ordered the roast beef meal I would say there was a disappointing amount of vegetables. Probably half (if that) a carrot, a ridiculously sparse amount of cabbage and a few sporadically placed roast potatoes. This really let down the enjoyment of the meal as it would have been great to have some more varied veg considering the £14 price.... More

The menu sounded amazing but the reality was very disappointing. It was like they (chef) didn't care what basic rubbish was presented. Staff very nice but the food was very disappointing a not worth the money I would not recommend at all......

Couldn't have been happier. Having been turned away from another local eatery The Lass looked after us from start to finish. Great food, no shortage of it and service that made you feel like it was your own local. For a packed Sunday the speed of service was more than adequate. So impressed were we that we came back for... If you are craving for a proper fish and chips then look no further!!! The mussels starter is worth trying, and there is a good mushroom vegetarian meal too! Of the wines I suggest going for the Malbec. Enjoy :)
