Nice comfy venue

Good, mid-range, pub food, very pleasant surroundings and cosy in the winter. Plenty of parking and nice location.

Visited for a Sunday roast which unfortunately was decidedly average. Two of us had the beef which was very thinly sliced and not remotely pink. Roast potatoes were anemic and not crunchy, veg was underdone, Yorkshire pudding dried out. Another of our party had the lamb shoulder however which was generous and juicy, but with same disappointing sides. Desserts of... More

Two months ago they had run out of beer A month ago they had no space - although tables were vacant Today they kept us waiting for a chicken salad for half an hour then brought duck which was mainly shards of bone We won't be giving them a fourth chance

Decided to pop in here when passing as one of the family remembered the place from about fifty years ago although they had to stay in the car park back then. The decor is good and I would imagine at a busy time there is quite an atmosphere here but for most of our meal it was pretty empty so... More

Plus: Cozy dog friendly restaurant offering good quality food, nice desserts and very tasty coffee. Friendly stuff. Prices reflect the location. Minus: prices of the alcoholic coffees are not listed on the menu. The alcohol and the coffee are then charged separately as two different beverages resulting in an overpriced coffee drink. Since when are mixed drinks charged per individual... More

last Sunday we went for a family roast. THe service was great but the rost lamb had only a few bits of the stuff. It was cold, so was the pudding.

Dog friendly, water bowls. Attentive staff where nothing was to much to ask for. Whitebait and salmon starters very generous portions. Roast lamb and beef melt in the mouth and was asked how I liked my beef cooked (rare) rather than being served a lump of charcoal you tend to get most places on a Sunday. Good choice of beers... I've been to the Lass a number of times since discovering its location up on Richmond hill. The food is excellent, although not particularly cheap. The staff are extremely attentive and polite. There is a good selection of beers and wines and the layout and furnishings make for a cosy and comfortable environment for eating and drinking. There is a... More

The pub remains open until midnight and is the only place that is still open to get a drink after a late night film in Richmond. At this time it's usually quiet and you can really appreciate the intimate atmosphere of some of its quiet corners. Because it is far enough away from Richmond you won't have to endure the... More

This is the first time I have visited the Lass and I took my family along for sunday lunch. We booked to sit in the restaurant area at the back of the pub and was greeted by a young lady who took us up to the table. From start to finish the staff were extremely friendly and initiative and compared... More
