a sub roll with a slice of beef and gherkins and a packet of crisps for a fiver... ridiculous! don't get me wrong the place looks great and very inviting, but for that money I would expect a lot more...

Best value when looking for coffee cake and a sandwich in Richmond. The bread was fantastic. Only negative was standing in a line to order table service would be nice.

We received outstanding customer service from Agata and Marie at the Richmond store when ordering Frasier cakes for our daughter's wedding. The cakes themselves looked absolutely stunning on the stand very kindly provided by Paul's. The hotel said it was by far the best cake they had served and the guests were so impressed with both the appearance and taste.... More

Called in for lunch, quite crowded seating but found a table. Ordered at the counter, lovely croque Monsieur and partner had a baguette. Good coffee. Quite noisy but good quality food.

Was enticed by the display the of wide range of cakes, pastries, bread and macaroons. Was weekend lunch time. Poor eating in experience, space were tied, it was canteen like tables arrangement at the inner part. Have to squeezed through chairs to get to toilet. Toilet sink too small, hence floor was wet, could do with staff checking and cleaning... More

I've been purchasing cakes from Paul for birthdays and other occasions for years now and i am never disappointed, my favourites being Charlotte fraise for £18 and the Duo chocolat for a similar price. If you want to ensure the cake is in store for you, ring a day in advance or even on the morning that you want it... More

Pretentious and devoid of character. Food is undoubtedly good quality and the cakes and tarts we bought were as you'd expect for somewhere in this (not cheap) price range. But not exceptional. However, the staff are really quite awful. One decided to walk through us as we were in her way at the counter. In fact we complained, and were... More

The window of the Paul cafe is glorious. The vast array of tarts, cakes & breads drew my friend & I in. As you enter you immediately notice its a lot smaller on the inside then it looks from the outside. The staff were all European it seemed, not that that was an issue except they were extremely blunt &... More

Had I known how uncomfortable & kinda grotty this Cafe was before buying my food at the counter last Monday....which is how they operate... I would have avoided it like the plague. The Coffee & Cheese/Ham Croissant was quite expensive but acceptable had one been able to relax in comfort at a table. There was a table for two at... More
