Tea and cake, delightful

Went to Dr Foxes when out for an afternoon dog walk, and decided to enjoy the sun on knightstone Island. We had a lovely cup of tea, served with a delicious home made cake, served by a very friendly young lady.

I have visited Dr Fox's at least once a month for the past six months for a catch up lunch with a friend due to the high standard of food and service we've received on each occasion. We have now sampled a fair amount on the menu and have never been disappointed. On this occasion I chose the jacket potato... More

Went for cream tea with voucher deal. Glad didn't pay full price as almost £20.00 for four people was really disgusting. One plain scone, a teaspoon of jam and a tea spoon of cream and a cup of tea each. Coffee extra. There was a plastic taste to the scones and the jam which was not very pleasant. We left... More

Came here on an afternoon tea voucher deal. We've been on lots of these voucher deals all over the place, but never before have I had to pay an extra £1 for a cup of coffee because I don't drink tea. The food was nothing special, either. The scones were nice inside but had been left in the oven too... More

Came for afternoon tea using Amazon Local voucher and couldn`t fault it. The cake stand was packed with a good selection of sandwiches in lovely fresh artisan bread on the bottom layer, slices of cake which we previously chosen from a small blackboard brought to the table on arrival on the middle plate and large fresh scones with jam and... Second visit to this quaint tearoom. Have only had snacks here but found it very good on both occasions. Nice loose leaf tea, great coffee and cakes. Fantastic sea views with outside seating facing the sea. No complaints.

This is a wonderful place to shelter from the bracing seafront as you step back in time and enjoy delicious food served with smiles and friendly politeness. I had Welsh rarebit done in a Somerset style which meant a very posh cheese on toast with apple puree served with scrumptious pickle and a small salad. So tasty, I tried to... More

Popped in here for a cuppa on Easter Monday and really wished we hadn't bothered. We ordered at the counter and then took a seat outside, two coffees and a slice of cake. After 15 minutes my friend went back in to see where our order was, as did the people on the next table. A family nearby got bored... More
