Fish & Chips Takeaway

Excellent fish supper! Crisp, clean, new chip shop with friendly, very efficient staff. Keenly priced menu to choose from - makes it worth a visit for sure. I normally like my chips a bitty more on the brown side, but cannot fault them, as delicious. Plenty of parking completes the package!

I celebrated my birthday here with a small group of family and friends. The atmosphere was great and the service fantastic. The quality of the food was absolutely excellent. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived too. Great value for money. A wonderful restaurant.

I ate lunch there with a friend recently. The restaurant was empty apart from us and a single gentleman. As the title suggests this must have been a former cowshed and although nicely and freshly decorated it is a large space. It was cold and there was no atmosphere. We did mention that it was cold but I am not... More

I visited with my daughter, sister and mum just before Christmas. My mum had been unwell so this was a treat for her. The restaurant setting is lovely with some really nice views. The restaurant decor was nice although not very festive feeling. Another gripe was we were seated at a round table and in the centre was a really... More

Having moved very recently into the area, we were amazed just how many local reviews we received from neighbours and local businesses alike to 'try the Cow Shed'. Our daughter and her boyfriend went and had a lovely romantic meal which they raved about, however this review is from me - so I can only vouch for our experience! When... More

Visited with my family for Sunday lunch. A lovely peaceful restaurant. My wife had the vegetarian option which she said was lovely. We had the Turkey & Beef sharing platter for 3 people which was both ample and of excellent quality. Turkey was lovely and moist, and the Beef top quality. Well presented and delicious. Quality comes at a price... More

Tried this out and can thoroughly recommend. A bit of a wait as everything cooked fresh but well worth it. I can't have wheat so instead of battered fish they offered to cook me a piece of haddock in butter and lemon, much appreciated and it was delicious. Give it a try. Easy parking and access.

We went on a stormy evening to try the newly opened fish and chips takeaway and my best advice to anyone would be get there early. I arrived about 5.30 to find a wee que and by the time I left with our food the place was packed. That's not saying it took a long time to cook but people... More

Visited on Sunday for Sunday lunch with friends, I have to say I was a bit apprehensive as my husband and I visited over a year ago and we were a quite disappointed. Well this was not the case on Sunday, absolutely first class, we all loved our meals, particularly the two vegetarians, our meal was just delicious. Well done.... More
