Ok so we had a deal with itison vouchers for xmas 3 course meal. You go in and the place looks impeessive. You get to your table and sit down. Seats aren't very comfortable but there seems to be a few maybe 8 comfier seats at other tables? The place was quite cold and there wasn't really much atmosphere. My... More

Went here for lunch, had to choose our own table as there was only 1 waitress on the floor. She came over 5 minutes later to ask if we wanted water. We both said no as we wanted juice....but after sitting there for a further 10 mins and we hadn't even been asked if we would like to order other... More

No need to book for Sunday Lunch, but recommended booking after 4pm for evening meal. Restaurant set in beautiful surroundings just outside Banchory, fantastic views of the countryside from the stylish comfort of the restaurant. Service impeccable, offered a choice of still or sparkling water for the table. We chose to go for the 2 course sharing platter, hubby had... More

Lunch was a most enjoyable experience from the moment we entered this restaurant. The setting is stunning with outstanding views over the surrounding countryside which obviously creates the right ambience to enjoy a meal. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and our meal was absolutely delicious. Little extra touches included beautiful home made bread and ice cold water which... More

Must recomend the Cowshed as a delightful place to have lunch. Simple menu with beautifully cooked food. Lovely setting with large windows looking over the countryside. Simple but sophisticated decor. Nice atmo sphere. Excellent service from Kevin Simpson - even carrying thing to no from the for us. Food resonably priced for the standard. Would definitely go again.

This is the second time myself and family have visited the Cowshed in the past 3 months and on both occasions the food and service have been excellent.

I visited recently for a family celebration and I honestly couldn't fault it. The standard of service and quality of the food were both excellent. Everyone was very welcoming, knowledgable and friendly. A good variety of options on the menu and a well balanced wine list. Certainly worth the money. Superb.

My mum had been talking about this restaurant for a while, so when a voucher deal for a two-course lunch for two popped up recently, I knew whom to invite. There were very few diners in the restaurant on the day we had our lunch and it was a bit soulless but we were impressed by the lovely decor and... More

Had a lovely meal there yesterday. Attentive, friendly staff in relaxing surroundings. The lemon sole was worth a special mention. Would definitely return.
