Description: One of my stranger suggestions. Run by the charity who operate a small branch line which meets the main Paddington to Penzance line at this station, the old signal box, up a short staircase is a quaint but friendly and hospitable snack bar on an otherwise isolated and inhospitable station. The limited profits go to the charity but the food is tasty simple and very good value. A useful novelty that might otherwise go unnoticed. Worth a listing.

We go to The Signal Box most weeks after a short walk from Resprin Bridge Lanhydrock, The ladies are lovely and every thing is freshly made, coffee is very good and cheese scones are a must. It's a very unusual place to have coffee an old signal box but that's part of the charm, watching people dashing about whale you... More

Bought an egg and bacon bap each, a tea and a coffee whilst waiting for the train. Service was quick and the rolls were top-notch quality and good value at £2.70 - well worth it!

Always a pleasure to have a cup of tea up in the old signal box at Bodmin Parkway station whilst waiting for our steam train up to Bodmin General on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway. Lovely and friendly and plenty of choice for warm and cold drinks, snacks and warm toasties and sandwiches. Plenty of atmosphere and great use of... More

I am well disposed to this little cafe because it reside us from a cold hour on the platform after we miscalculated the return train time to Plymouth after a long walk through the park at Lanhydrock. The cafe occupies the upstairs room of the old signal box. It is run by a charity who have to do with some... More

A visit to Bodmin Parkway was when I stumbled across this hidden gem! The cafe is ran by a lovely lady called Ho, who makes all her own cakes (caramel shortbread my favourite!!) A very nice place to just go and drink tea, even better if you are into railways like me, with superb views of the mainline, and then... More

Dropped in for a freshly cooked egg and bacon bap and a cup of tea while waiting for my train. Great view of the station and friendly service. The complete opposite of the sterile, bland, overpriced offerings at your usual station outlet. Refreshing.
