The pub no longer sells food and therefore should not be classified as a restaurant. It does however serve a good pint of traditional real ale and the locals are friendly.
What a friendly Pub!! Stopped in for a pitstop on a long bike ride. The management were extremely helpful and accommodating for my bike and I. A great little Pub.
Just to say thank you all very much for your Hospitality the other Sunday 11 Aug 2013 from myself (Andy Trigg Morris) and my biker friends who had come down from Stafford for a weekend camping. They allowed us to eat our takeaway in the pub, they even supplied the plates and eating irons, what a brilliant idea. The beer... More
I popped into the Masons Arms for a quick pint on my way to the Indian restaurant, and ended up staying the whole evening. The landlords, Paul and Wendy got chatting (they're good at that!) and suggested I eat my takeaway at the pub, which I duely did. The pub doesn't serve food so customers are welcome to consume their... More
Excellent choice of beers and service to match. The service was good and the landlady and locals very friendly. Plenty of things happening diring the week and weekend (we took part in the quiz and came last). Thanks for a great evening and see you again next time were in the area ( the northern illegitimates).

The recommendations were not wrong, we were satisfied, even my mate Big Alfred who is quite partial to his garlic mushrooms. My issue was the landlady, a petite... More
......by far! It was a lovely sunny day, spending it in their 'beer garden'. It's so homely. The food was amazing, I had steak, cooked perfectly and the portion size was very generous! The locals were very friendly, even buying us rounds of drinks! Playing pool and using the juke box was how we spent a lot of our evening.... More
Well... what can I say? Wendy and Paul who own the Masons are so hospitable. We moved from Guernsey and they made us feel so welcome, the food was excellent and the service the same. My husband and I asked if we could have our wedding reception in their function room. They helped me with the entertainment and gave me... More
Was just stopping through for a night and after catching the reviews on tripadvisor, decided to drop in and really glad we did. Paul & Wendy were amazingly nice to us, giving us a tour of the pub and letting us order from the take away shop across the road having just missed eating hours. Such a cute and cosy... More
