Woods Cafe is a beautiful cottage cafe in the middle of Cardinham Woods. Open all year round, we serve warming home-made stews and soups in the winter and doorstop sandwiches with an ever changing specials menu throughout the summer. The cream teas are fantastic and the cakes are always fresh. We try to use local produce and suppliers where possible.

Unexpected Gem.

Walking the dogs is always a problem when visiting an area you do not know. We took some advice on an area called Cardinham Woods. Stayed in Bodmin for a couple of days and decide to stop off in the cafe after a long bike ride. Really nice spot. Food was lovely we had homemade sausage role and ham sandwich (fresh thick bread!) finished with two amazing cream teas. The clotted cream was the best we'd tasted! Highly recommend visiting even if you aren't walking... More

Tucked away in Cardinham Woods, is this little gem of a cafe. I never miss an opportunity if I am in the Bodmin area, to pop in and have a cup of coffee and maybe a slice of cake. I haven't tried any of their main courses but I have watched them being served to hungry walkers and they look... More

We have been wanting to get to the Woods Cafe for some time, and a weekend away to Port Issac presented the perfect opportunity as we were driving passed the Forest Entry on our way there. The detour did not dissappoint. We arrived shortly after opening time, so the cafe was not that busy when we arrived, but it picked... More

I had lunch here 3 times in Nov / Dec 2014. I had the pulled pork once and hot sausage sandwich twice always lovely. But more lovely is sitting on the cosy sofa by the roaring log fire and really settling in for an hour or so. The cafe looked particularly pretty in its Christmas finery. Would highly recommend.

What can I say??? The cakes out so tasty and with a huge selection to choose from. After a cold walk or even a bike ride so nice to sit inside a cottage with the log fire roaring eating homemade cakes. Win win

Had a lovely coffee and cake here - cakes are excellent. Very dog friendly as well and in a lovely walking location. Superb midpoint break.

Great tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Splendid variety of mouthwatering cakes including gluten free carrot cake which is to die for. Delicious aromas emanating from the kitchen as we start our morning walks. A real log fire when it is cold, plenty of out door seating and the friendliest place in town. Don't miss out on this hidden gem.

This is such a wonderful cafe. The location nestled among pine trees is spectacular and the food did not disappoint. We sat outside with our dog and had a lovely lunch, butternut squash tagine and pulled pork baguette, both of which tasted like proper home cooking. If we lived in cornwall we would be there a lot!

This is a cracking little cafe situated in the heart of Cardinham Woods. Great cakes, good coffee and perfect location. Slightly off the beaten track but well worth a visit. Very popular
