Just back from a weekend trip with large group of friends. Kirkstile Inn was recommended, we booked a table and were not disappointed! Food was excellent, prices were good, staff were friendly and even organised our transport home. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

We were on walking holiday, based in Brampton, and this was the only restaurant we ate in twice. Quite a trek to get there, and an unassuming sort of place, but the dinners were truly exceptional.

Fantastic food at a very reasonable price, friendly staff, great service. I would recommend that if you are in the area you give this pub a try. Might be worth booking a table especially in the summer months as it was quite busy on a weekday in October.

This pub was recommend to us and we booked for dinner at 6pm. By 7pm no food had arrived although our order had been taken fairly promptly. My 5 year old grandson was getting fidgety. When the food did arrive, however, it really was good. All our awkward preferences had been taken account of and the staff were friendly and... More

We took the train up the valley from Alston, then walked up to the Kirkstyle Inn from Lintley Halt for lunch. The weather was clear and sunny and the route is very scenic. We were... More
