More than just a roast dinner.....

This is our something teenth visit to Oliver's. It is getting to the point that if we eat out which we do at least twice a week we don't want to go anywhere else because the food is that good. Triumph again today, ploughmans starter, my description won't make your mouth water, eating it will... read more

We went for the first time as two couples for Saturday dinner. Lovely sunny evening so we had the pleasure of watching the sun set through the large picture window overlooking the small green opposite. Warm welcome and choice of tables. The manageress was lovely, friendly but not overpowering and clearly knew how to run front of house. I suspect... More

Took my wife here for our evening meal. The service was great(i think the girl was new) the food was magnificent and the atmosphere was wonderful. The bill came to just over £100, but you do pay for what you get and it was worth every penny. Oh and the sticky toffee pudding is phenomenal. Thanks Guys.

We had dinner in this restaurant last Saturday night. There was a pleasant atmosphere and it made a change to have tables spaciously arranged. The staff were friendly and professional and coped very well with a full house. I had the pork belly dish as my starter and my husband had the soufflé. For our main courses, he had cod... More

This review is written for the benefit of visitors to the area rather than those simply wanting a review of their local restaurant. That said hopefully it will serve both. The reason that I have added a smattering of historical perspective is that curiously this small Cheshire village has three restaurants serving fine dining style modern dishes whose reputations are... We were invited out to Sunday Lunch with some friends for a birthday celebration of one of the party. None of us had been to Olivers before but we went on the recommendation of another friend who had been quite recently and said how good the meal was. Well we weren't disappointed, the meal was excellent, the service was just... More

When we entered the staff asked if they could take our coats, which they hung them in a secure cloakroom. My wife and I had an excellent three course dinner at Olivers on Friday 10 April. The food was very well presented and full of flavour. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. They even bought us another jug... More

This is my sixth or seventh visit to this amazing restaurant, we travel quite a way so it is usually always a Sunday Lunch, restaurant was busy as always we were glad we booked. Ordered a Pinot Grigio ice cold and tasty, then the homemade fresh onion bread came out with salty butter. Hot and delicious. Starters we had Salt... More
