Good first impressions of the decor, layout of tables, lighting and music in this restaurant. We were left slightly too long before being asked for our order which was slightly disappointing but didn't colour the evening. Food was delicious - both of us enjoyed every course. We both reflected that if we lived in the village this would be a... More

This is a lovely restaurant; the food is imaginative and very well prepared, the staff are welcoming and friendly, and it is excellent value for what it offers. What more can I say? Highly recommended.

Told the staff that I was a Coeliac and the chef and staff are very helpful. The food tasted great and the service top notch. They did say if we had told them in advance they could have had more choices for me as a Coeliac. Having said that there was a lot of choices. Looking forward to going again.

Booked here purely from reviews, food was fine, but expensive for what we got. I thought if felt more like a cafe than a restaurant, but my husband didn't think so, he said it was OK. Service was friendly and we didn't feel rushed, but probably won't go back as we felt it was overpriced.

We dined here for my wife's birthday on a Thursday night and after reading the excellent reviews we were not disappointed. This restaurant is part of the 'taste card' scheme so we took advantage of it as it is only usable on a Thursday and Friday. The restaurant is well decorated and for a quiet Thursday night had a relaxed... More

This visit was to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have wished for anything better!! My friends and I all ordered something different so we could taste some of everything. I've not eaten beef for 10yrs and not had it in a restaurant for 15yrs but I decided to have the beef fillet medallions, corned beef hash pressing and pickled... More

This chic restaurant is welcoming and attractively presented. The food is outstanding and ever since it opened a few years ago, we have always enjoyed the food and ambience. Whilst waiting to order you get warm home made onion bread rolls and olives. Delicious! The starters are highly individualistic and memorable and, unlike some restaurants, the main courses are of... As a visiting party of six family members with two birthdays to celebrate we made a reservation to Oliver's without any prior knowledge except through reviews on Tripadvisor. We had a lovely evening made all the better with the warm welcome, service and good food at this restaurant. We have eaten many fine dining restaurants before and we were impressed... More
