Popped on for a quick beer , was lovely and great choice too. We will be returning soon maybe on a pub crawl ha :) well done ...
Great for a relaxed drink before dinner, the selection of beer was a hit with my husband who is a particular fan of Belgium beer! I went with a recommendation from the knowledgable bar staff and went for a peach fruit beer - delicious! Noticed they do a good selection of wines and bar snacks which looked delicious however we... What a lovely place to have a drink and a pie! Loved the ambience, loved the staff and the whole idea. Love, love the people in Macclesfield. A change from the misery of the South!
Haha this made us chuckle! There are plenty of southerners working behind the scenes here... but you are right, it is good up north! Thanks for the 5* review, we hope to see you again soon! More
Great chilled out Belgian bar with really good bar staff. Best place to go for a quiet pint of something really nice. Unfortunately it can get packed at times.
Glad you have enjoyed your drinks here, and thanks for taking the time to leave a review. If you fancy trying the same thing but bigger, try our sister bar The Young Pretender in Congleton. Cheers! More
Every time I walk past this place its full, which has to be a good sign. The selection of beers is superb. The Pies are as good as the selection of beers! piping hot wholesome and very tasty. Its perfect for little get together and really cosy! It s not fussy at all just simple and honest. The staff are... More

Seriously though this place really is a hidden gem with its extensive range of beers and upmarket pub grub not to mention friendly staff and seriously relaxed atmosphere. I've yet to try one of their themed evenings but they sound like a hoot; the kind of deal where you can chin wag with home-grown philosophers and their ilk. I've been... More
Aw... thanks for 'getting' it, and for the nice review! More

A small but well formed pub with well kept beers, an excellent range of bottles, complemented by a good range of pies and other food that goes excellently with a beer. Unpretentious and with pleasant attentive staff. One of the first amongst the "New Wave" of bars and pubs that have opened over the last 4 years or so, and... More
Thank you for the thoughtful and positive review.... and 5 stars are always appreciated! More
Convenient for the railway station, I agree it's more of a pub than a restaurant and a good one it is too. Nice selection of changing real ales are available some from local brewers.
Thank you for taking the time to write a positive review, we really are pleased that you enjoy what we offer. More
This is an excellent, friendly pub. There is a good choice of real ales, as well as the usual wines and spirits that you would expect to find in a primarily real-ale pub. Food is available, but the menus choice is limited. It sells the sort of food you would expect in a real ale pub - something to eat... More
