went out for my wifes birthday lunch, weather was particularly bad - a real wet manchester day; hadnt been to the windmill for some time but gave it a try.Well worth the effort; even on this inclement day the place was busy; not too full but a good atmosphere including 2 large party groups; the food was obviously freshly prepared... Don't often leave a bad review, but it wasn't good. Staff were nice and friendly but the food was poor. The butchers plank only came with half the ingredients and the main courses were bland and basic. Again with not alot of sides. We did tell them and they were sorry but we had pre paid and other than the... More

I love that this country pub is totally dog friendly. A bit expensive but a reasonable range of beers and good food. Shame they have few vegetarian choices, but what they have if delicious. Ive been twice this week just to have their sweet potato and chickpea tagine with an aubergine fritter!

A huge thanks to the Windmill Pub for hosting our wedding reception party. We had worked with Tim in the months beforehand and he made everything very personal for us and could not do enough to help us plan the perfect evening. Tim tailored the event to our needs and never said no to anything we asked for! On the... More

We visited the Windmill on a summer tuesday evening. They were BUSY. So much so they had to stop taking orders! This was down to two things - the amazing food and the huge beer gardens. The Windmill is everything you could want in a pub, and is great for couples or families. We will definitely be back.

The food in this place is fantastic, the service is brilliant and if I was handing out awards, this place would get the top prize! I've been back a number of times since my first visit and I really can't fault the place!!!! Well Done!!!!

This being my local pub is no coincidence. This place is lovely run and offers good and affordable food. In the winter you can sit in front of the fire and in the summer outside to a lazy country road. It is worth mentioning that you will meet the locals and that you dog are welcome too.
