Went here for the first time on sat evening and loved it, great little opened planned pub with stoned walls and floor, great choice of real ales and cider at the bar. It is also the brew tap for bollington brewery, food was good too so had a chicken and bacon baguette and a pint of real ale outside... read more

Great friendly town pub. Superb local beers and a good atmosphere. For light citrusy ale try 'Waterloo', for darker beer drink 'Dinner Ale'. Brewery visits, good food.

I went to visit a friend who lives in Bollington tonight, we were both hungry and not great cooks, so we decided to have dinner at The Vale Inn. The location is warm and welcoming, we grabbed a seat, one of the last table available. The staff is young, friendly and efficient, so we managed to get a pint of... More

Great beer, nice staff and good food. Their brewery tour is excellent, a great story and a lot of beer.

The vale inn is a lovely place, food severed, plenty of good beer, excellent beer garden views of the bollingtons wreck and cricket club, a delightful place to be in the summer.

Firstly, having always enjoyed a nice glass of wine from this pub whilst watching the cricket in the summer we all thought great idea to try to the food! So having booked well in advance we arrived for the staff to promptly tell us there would be a slight delay with service. After waiting over 60 minutes from ordering the... More

Popped in for lunch with family after a walk on the Gritstone Trail. A really lovely traditional pub, surprisingly big inside, they even had a real fire going which was welcome on a cold day. Excellent selection of the Bollington Brewery's ales, I plumped for the Oat Mill Stout which was very nice, rich and sweet. We decided to have... More

We have been twice now following a walk in the Bollington area. Does good food and a choice of a pleasant pint (they have their own brewery) and welcoming staff. Feel better if I have earned the food and drink after a walk. Note weekdays closes at 3 but reopens evenings weekends open longer. Web site available. Well worth a... More

I love the location of this pub, on warm evenings it's very pleasant to sip a pint outside, watching the cricketers practice, very English pastime. I use this pub regularly and am always very satified by the service level, food quality and the range and quality of the beer, especially the Bollington Best brewed by the owners. My only gripe,...
