Fantastic food, I had the vale burger and it was the best burger I have ever had. Was told by a member of staff that everything is made and prepared in house and that's why sometimes food can take a little longer than expected. Atmosphere was lovely too and also had a nice beer garden overlooking the cricket pitch.

I wish I could review the food, but I have just had a booking for six people cancelled. No acceptable reason was given. Shall not be going there again. I have to rate all categories as terrible as I am unable to give anything else.

Having just moved back to Bollington, and read good comments about the brewery based at the Vale Inn, I decided it was time to give it a try. What a great night! Only had a basic meal - fish and chips - but with a wonderful light batter, flakey fish and home made chips and tartare sauce what more could... More

We did not eat but, did enjoy some very nice beer while sitting overlooking the Bollington Cricket field. It was especially nice as the bollington Festival was on and we enjoyed watching all the kids playing. They had a wonderful selection of beer and the food looked great! It was packed so I am guessing food was great. It is... More

Thought the meal and locally made craft beers were superb. The service was super friendly and if your in the area you should stop by here.

The Vale used to be a nice comfortable traditional village pub serving good imaginitive home cooked food.It is now a beer house serving excellent beers from its own micro brewery, but at what cost! One of the stone arches has been replaced by props holding up the ceiling, and the cosy furniture and carpeted floor replaced by canteen furniture and... More

Thanks for the compliments about the beer but I feel as though I should point a few things out. The stone arches (two) were removed the day we bought the pub in April 2005, they were taking up a massive amount of space which was one reason why the pub wasn't viable and had been closed for most of the... I've been to the Vale Inn a few times. In a village of many pubs to choose from this one certainly stands out from the crowd. For a start, they brew their own real ales just a stones throw from the pub. The have a great range of ales, and they're very happy to let you try a few. I... More

The Vale is a traditional pub, not gastro or fancy, they have their own brewery and the beer is excellent . The menu isn't that extensive, but if you enjoy traditional pub food, served with a cheery smile and pleasant surroundings then you cannot go wrong. Today was our fourth visit and most definitely not our last.

Called at lunchtime on a hot Sunday afternoon. Got a great pint of locally brewed ale and sat in the beer garden overlooking the park watching the cricket. Lovely!

The food here is proper pub food. Very tasty and the staff are friendly. They have a coal fire and a cosy setting which makes you feel instantly relaxed.
