The Ava Grill & Tapas serves top quality food in a modern and relaxed setting in the heart of Bangor. It’s open seven days a week for both breakfast, lunch, early birds and dinner. Itoffers a diverse range of menus including blackboard specials and a la carte - perfect for families and couples. The food is freshly cooked with an emphasis on seafood, steaks and salads complete with a tempting wine selection.

Bank holiday lunch

My husband, son and I dropped in for lunch on the bank holiday. We were quickly shown to a table by a very helpful waitress who explained the specials and told us about their 2 course lunch offer. This was a good offer and although there isn't a lot to choose from, the food was delicious, I would... read more

I visited the Ava on Wednesday of this week and a friend and I shared a garlic bread plate for two. This was 4 slices of bread with a salad garnish and was priced at £5.50. Today I was there with my daughter and daughter-in-law and had garlic bread as my starter. This came as two slices of bread on... More

Went with a female friend for dinner. We ate at 6.30 on a Saturday and ordered from the early bird menu (2 courses for 10.95). We both had the Caesar salad for starters and fish and chips for main. Both courses were very enjoyable with good portions. The service was excellent with pleasant staff. Found this to be very good... More

I'm a regular customer of the Ava and always find it 5 star. My wife has a friend staying and we took her to the Ava where we were invited to try their new Piano Room (enticed by the offer of a free bottle of wine). It had opened only the day before. Wow, they've really hit the target. Pianist... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, good atmosphere and lovely menu. Had a birthday meal for our grand-daughter and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was great.

Parents, and children, OK oldies 60+ and children 30+ enjoyed an Early Bird meal and talk. Staff were excellent, friendly and very, very helpful. Meal was very well presented and pleasant, and inexpensive. Drinks were very reasonable. Worth a revisit from all.

We were out for my sister-in-law's birthday and we chose from the Early Bird Menu. Everything was excellent, piping hot, great portions, friendly staff and service.
