A very pleasant and happy dinner

We were a family group of 8,including 3 young children, a little hesitant about our first dinner in North Wales. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; the service was very friendly and helpful, and the dinners surprisingly good and well presented. No problems with adequate parking.

Usually we have had a wonderful meal here but sadly we have just left after a disappointing evening. Our small table was squeezed in at the bottom of the stairs under the music speaker, which thumped out an incessant noise making conversation difficult. We were handed a wine list and left. Eventually we got menus, and again left for so... More

Visited this restaurant last night with my husband and two friends. We had a really excellent evening. Initially, I felt a bit hesitant about the choice of this restaurant because on our last visit about three or four years ago I had been disappointed by the very small portions and very fancy cooking - Lamb main course then was three... Was treated to a delicious meal here by my sister in law, to celebrate the marriage of my daughter. All six of us had a gorgeous meal, served by extremely efficient staff.

We spent a lovely couple of hours savouring beautiful food and drinking expensive wine. The evening was far from cheap, but the starters and main courses were so creatively and imaginatively presented and so delicious (the red wine glasses are fabulous!) As for the cocktails....I'll leave you to sample them! This kind of restaurant is for special occasions.

Such a great restaurant, we had the 5 course tasting menu. Everything was delicious, the stand out dishes for me was the guineafowl and the marshmallow dessert, the flavour pairings with the guinea fowl where amazing, and we left very satisfied with the portions. Good job guys looking forward to next time!

Managed to get a table on a Friday night for 8pm. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and cosy. The staff are extremely attentive. The food is gorgeous. I ordered the cheese dish for starter (full of flavours-wow) veal for main and chocolate ganache for dessert (superb!) Oh and I highly recommend the cocktails.

The Boathouse is set in a tiny little building which gives it a very charming setting, however due to the numerous stairs may not make it the best for those with young kids or elderly. I very much enjoyed the menu. Vast selection of dishes, which came out very well presented indeed and the right portion size for what you... More
