Exceptional good food and service

Booked mid week in December 2015. Small restaurant with good ambience. Reasonably small menu of quality main courses. My wife and I dithered over the choices and decided on trying the sampling menu which consisted of small portions of the main menus served on individual plates. In all we had 5... read more

Visited this evening to celebrate my wife's birthday. This is an exceptional restaurant run by people who really understand food. We both had duck as a main course. Brilliant in every way.

My family came here for lunch a few weeks ago and the service was fantastic, they even accommodated to my 4 year old sister and made her fish and chips which she loved! Food was delicious, would love to go back soon!

This being my third visit over the last year or so to the boathouse, I find the food and service consistently of high standard, I usually as on this occasion, opt for the seven course tasting menu with wines, which I find, excellent value.

Small restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere, presentation of food and flavour up there with some excellent restaurants in other parts of Ireland. Wine list is small but a good selection to compliment the food , I thoroughly enjoyed it .

The only thing that left us with a sour taste was £4.75 for a tea and a coffee each. My partner was asked what type of tea she liked and... More
