Managed to get a table on a Friday night for 8pm. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and cosy. The staff are extremely attentive. The food is gorgeous. I ordered the cheese dish for starter (full of flavours-wow) veal for main and chocolate ganache for dessert (superb!) Oh and I highly recommend the cocktails.

The Boathouse is set in a tiny little building which gives it a very charming setting, however due to the numerous stairs may not make it the best for those with young kids or elderly. I very much enjoyed the menu. Vast selection of dishes, which came out very well presented indeed and the right portion size for what you... More

I have been here before and was really looking forward to this visit. The owner on previous occasions has always been very visible & helpful front of house. This time he was there but did not come near our table and barely said goodbye when we left. Our first course was served very (too) quickly and when we had finished... More

Excellent meal of south east asian style crab salad , halibut with hollandaise and a seemingly simple looking, but superb desert of Apple turnover, apple sorbet and poached pear. Near Michelin star restaurant quality food with relaxed , informal atmosphere. Fixed price dinner menu was brilliant value.I have paid twice as much for food half as good.

My sister and I visited the Boathouse on a Wednesday evening (1st July) so it was quiet but we were very well treated by the super efficient young man who was doing front of house. We were tempted to go for the 3 courses for £32 but decided in the end to just go for main course with a vegetable... More

Superb food and atmosphere. Lunch and dinner are equally good. The a la carte menu isn't cheap but good value for money. The fixed price menu is excellent value and changes regularly

Recommended by a local B&B and well worth the recommendation. Lovely food, super service, sun terrace overlooking the Menai Straits and they even brought out a bowl of water for our dog without asking - what more could you need! :)

Went for lunch , have previously visited and had the tasting menus always good ! . On this occasion we were looking for a light lunch the menu comprised of several starters and mains with two desserts and a blue cheese soufflé , three of the starters also feature as mains , there is ample choice though , to begin...
