Amazing service and food

A wonderful meal. The menu is interesting and shows great thought as well as imagination. Dishes are pleasing to the eye and do not disappoint. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with professional but relaxed service.

My family and I dined at The Boathouse last night (Thursday). Having read the reviews we were looking forward to a top notch experience and overall were not disappointed. My wife and I had the crab on panna cotta: I couldn't detect the chilli in the dressing or the lemon grass in the panna cotta but the crab/panna cotta combo... More

My kids and I were here for dinner yesterday(Sunday) and what a dreadful experience it turned out to be! My daughter and I had the crab starter which was crab on top of panna cotta! Ugh! For my mains I ordered the lamb which was very overdone. The waitress offered to take it back and bring another one. About 10... More

My girl friend and I were traveling to Bangor in the afternoon and was looking for some seafood restaurants initially. However, we were attracted by their menu of boathouse when we walked along the dock. They offer the economic lunch menu and they have had a continuous award! Here we went... The service was really comfortable, the waiters are trained... More

Our family had a wonderful night here on Friday evening. We spent over three hours enjoying the amazing food and craic. We were made to feel very welcome and it was evident that everyone at the Boathouse takes pride in what they do. The food was definitely a talking point and we loved the surroundings. We awaited each course with... More

Out to celebrate a friends Birthday. Not so sure they really enjoyed it. Restaurant was very cold. Drink options were limited. Presentation of food was excellent and my meal was very tasty. The waiter was very helpful with providing information on the menu. The evening was a nice experience, but definitely no wow factor.

From the moment you arrive expect something different. Great welcome. Good choice of food and wine with help from your server. Nothing is too much to ask for. Good for couples as well as family. Good prices.

Having not been here for some time we decided to return and try out a new menu. We were not disappointed - an absolutely fabulous 3 course meal was had by both of us. Jasper was his usual efficient self as were the other staff on the floor. Two of of them were new to us but both were extremely... More
