My second visit, as perfect as the first and now my first choice of eating out. Exceptional. (And I can recommend the mussels!)

Had a nice Sunday Lunch here. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and the food was nice. Only problem was that the ambience is lacking and it is like eating in someone's front room. Will return to try the French menu one evening. I am sure we won't be disappointed.

We started with drinks in the conservatory served by the friendly, charming lady owner. My husband had prawns in pernod for starters and steak in peppercorn sauce for main, both of which he enjoyed. I had seabass with vegetables for main, which tasted like it had been caught the same day and was cooked simply with some herbs - delicious.... More

We haven't been here for a meal for a long time but we were remembered the minute we walked through the door. The menu is much more simpler now but it has good choices anyway. We had a drink first in the conservatory and had a chat with Katie whilst looking at the menu. We both went for escargot to... More

We stayed at the hotel and took advantage of the excellent restaurant, run by the French hotel owner. The choice of food was a little limited but the quality of the food was very good. The only negative was the lack of a children's menu and so I would recommend for couples but not necessarily for families with young children,... More

We decided to come here for our valentines treat and were not disappointed in the slightest. We were greeted by our very welcoming host and seated in the conservatory to decide what we would like to try for our meal whilst enjoying a glass of wine. Our food was simply delicious, from starter to main course to dessert was faultless,... More

Went here this week, had a simply lovely time. This is a B&B that runs the restauant as an add on. Was surprised to find an authentic French eaterie in the centre of Hartlepool, though it was a nice surprise. The food was fantastic, the menu is short enough to be good and long enough to give sufficient choice for... More

We stayed in the hotel (which was really comfortable) and decided to try out the restaurant. We booked in advance when we knew we were staying there, good job as they had a large party in also. The menu had a great choice, which made it very difficult to choose!! If you love French food with a twist or just... More

We ate on Saturday night as a party of 11 and had the most amazing meal. Top class French cooking from coquille st Jacques to beautiful fillet steak; the slow cooked belly pork was gorgeous and there was a lovely cassoulet. Everyone in the party had a wonderful meal. The service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We... More

Went with partner (recommended by a friend who is a chef), the food was faultless. The staff put heart and soul in their work and it shows. I'm looking forward to return visits with friends and family.
