Excellent Food

Read reviews on our way there, made me want to cancel booking and go elsewhere lol, glad we didn't as food was excellent and staff very friendly. Would go again. 1st visit was about 16 years ago and not much has changed. Points to note: you really need to clean the restaurant (especially as you... read more

What a lovely place to enjoy a special occasion. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The service and friendliness of the staff was really good. Of course we ordered the T-bones. Wow! Medium rare was we had ordered and they covered the platter. It is a long long time ago and in South Africa, that I saw... More

Cold and musty smell in an overpriced and dated restaurant. The food was just plain bad.The vegetables tasted of nothing at all.The chips were disgusting. The prices for this was extortionate .Wetherspoons serve nicer steak at half the price.

My wife and I went with a group of over 20 friends for suppose to be a Saturday night gathering over a nice meal. What a disappointment for us two. Table was not laid out correctly with cheap Xmas crackers. Even before we started our meal the waiters removed the wine glasses which could have been used for water, so... More

Went to alfredos for our 45th wedding anniversary meal. As we walked in we felt a pang of disappointment as the staff were different. It had been many, many years since our last visit & it was full of Italian staff joking & bantering with each other & customers. I was dreading a disappointing meal . I ordered prawns with... More

This place is stuck in a time warp.... The food was reasonable but over priced so was the wine, I think it is probably living on an old reputation and never really moved on. The staff were very pleasant but the style of decor is very dated although I must say that it was very clean. We were recommended this... More

The Clash had released "London Calling" and Stiff Little Fingers "Inflammable Material". Margaret Thatcher had become Britains first female Prime Minister and Jody Scheckter won the Formula 1 championship for Ferrari. it was about this time that Alfredo's was decorated and the menu set. Really enjoyed our meal here. Lots of fish to choose from on the menu. The restaurant was clean and the waiter service was excellent. The hot food was hot and served on hot plates. The scampi Provençale was delicious, a rich tasty sauce with big juicy prawns. The steaks are huge! Smoked trout starter was served with a simple side... More
