As regular visitors to the Rotunda Bar throughout the year we are delighted with the Summer menu revamp. The new Hot Dogs and Fries are seriously good value and are downright tasty. Whatever the weather the view is always amazing, the service is never less than pleasant, the building is beautiful and the pint of Peroni is near perfect. We... More

We took a couple of friends to the Midland Hotel, Morecambe for lunch as we each had a platter from the bar menu which was excellent value for money. The Fish platter was plentiful and could easily be shared between two (perhaps with a bowl of soup each?). Although the Midland looks very grand from the outside, the value was... More

I took my mother in law to the midland today for lunch as a treat as she has just lost her husband, when we arrived we were given the lunch menu wich we found a bit to much for a lunch time but was told by a lovley member of staff we could get a lighter lunch in the rotunda... More

Have been a few times with friends and do like it... Sharing boards are great and cocktails are good... Reasonable prices..Nice to sit outside on summers evening overlooking the bay... Staff can be a little rude sometimes but all in all would definitely recommend and try if in the area and haven't been before...

Visited the beautiful Midland Hotel for Afternoon Tea yesterday. I checked the website before we left and it said it was advisable to book due to popularity. I thought it being a Monday, we'd get a table if we just turned up - wrong! Arriving at the hotel, we were told they were fully booked but we could have a... More

On this occasion we ate in the Rotunda bar on the first night and the restaurant on the second. The tapas style meal was actually better value and more filling than the meal we had in the restaurant - no room for dessert when eating here. Good service and we like the red leather booths.

While staying at Midland Hotel in March we ordered fish+ chips in the Rotunda Bar.The chips were that hard you could not eat them,I think they were potatoes left over from dinner then fried up to go with fish not the hand cut ones on the menue.giving this meal one star would be too generous.

Walking the dogs along the prom, we were pleased to have stopped off for refreshments. We were familiar with the facility as we had stayed in the hotel when it first reopened, so it was nice to see it open to the public. However, price tag remains high on everything so not a place to go if you like paying... More

We were passing through the area and having seen this beautiful building on television decided to have a drink in the bar. People were being seated in the lounge for afternoon tea, but as we were having a meal later (already booked) we did not try this. I think we must have been invisible as staff were so busy having... If I order a cheese and leek open pie (£7.50), I do not expect to wait half an hour for a bar snack, have to ask where the food is, and then be presented with a sandwich-shop type potato pie. Did they think I wouldn't notice? To be fair, the barman agreed straight away that this was not a cheese... More
