Brilliant tea rooms & deli

Stopped for a drink but came away with a delicious sticky toffee pudding and a bread & butter pudding too.

Just had a bowl of soup at Feast in Pickering and absolutely loved it - lovely comfortable deep sofas - broad selection of deli stuff too.

We stumbled across this deli/restaurant/shop whilst looking for a light lunch to take away and eat as a picnic up by the castle in Pickering. We were impressed with the interesting selection of sandwiches (toasted and cold) and the selection of other takeaway food. The sausage rolls looked amazing, HUGE and jam-packed with meat. We plumped for the salami, mozzarella,... More

Thanks for your review. The first for our new look/ old look Feast. Feast had been run at a loss for two years. When a certain key member of staff decided to move on we decided to try the chain cafe approach of a de-skilled self-service environment but at a reduced price. We got it completely wrong with bells on.... More

We drove through Pickering at the weekend and needed somewhere we could take our dog in with us. We went into the pub next door to feast who had unfortunately stopped serving food. They let us stay and told us we could get some food from feast and bring it in. We got 3 gorgeous sausage rolls and a chicken... More

Popped in for cake and hot chocolate on a chilly Monday afternoon. Food all looked great but woman behind the counter ignored us for far too long chatting with a friend. When she did serve us she was rude, threw things around. Another couple came in to find a seat before ordering and she barked at them they had to... More

Lunch at Feast used to be an absolute delight. Now, sadly, it consists of selecting a bland sandwich from a fridge and seating yourself. The best brasserie for miles around to filling station food in an instant. What have you done feast? And why? I must have eaten over forty lunches over the years but no more I'm afraid.

On my day off I like to treat myself to lunch and a cheeky slice of cake to take home. Previously Feast has been my favourite place to do this in Pickering. Recently my experience has not been so good. Last week my lamb curry although wonderful, didn't come with the usual extra i.e dumpling with stew, pitta with chilli.... More

Called in to what used to be our favourite coffee/lunch cafe. Hugely disappointed by the range of food now available -pre-packed sandwiches! The lively atmosphere has gone, staff are less than friendly and be prepared to wait if you order food! Can't believe the best place for coffee and scones has changed so much-we won't be going back.

We visited The Feast on a Friday morning prior to a long journey back to Northamptonshire. Popped into The Feast for a quick breakfast/brunch. On arrival we were greeted by a chirpy yet flustered lady serving behind the counter. They operate a counter service, so we ordered tea for two and some bacon rolls. The bacon roll was satisfactory, tea... More

We had been to feast a few times on previous trips and had found it to be a high quality and quirky place to enjoy either a coffee and cake or a delicious meal. Now it is a counter service coffee shop and seems to have not only lost a varied and interesting menu but also the charm that had... More
