Tea room is situated right next to the station so our kids enjoyed seeing the trains arriving. Delivery of the food (jacket potatoes, tea cakes, sandwiches and scones) took a long time to arrive. In fairness the staff did apologise and provided some free coffees. Will give them another try on our return to Pickering

My boyfriend and I were visiting Pickering and didn't think we'd be able to find somewhere that catered for vegans however, fortunately, we were mistaken. Mulberries is a lovely little cafe that caters for everyone, meat-eaters and vegans alike, with sandwiches, soups and other homemade hot meals available. We had a delicious homemade pie with veg and chips, the sort... More

Visited this cafe on sat 1st February, about 1.30, lovley looking cafe. Walked in an every table was taken apart from one, sat down and reluctantly took off my coat and put it across my legs as it was freezing and as we looked round you could see other people thought the same. Also noticed that out of the seven... More

Delightful coffee shop, full of character, plus warm and inviting. The outside patio area overlooks the steam railway so the children just loved it. We had BLT sandwiches with our coffee which were absolutely delicious. Will certainly return.

My wife and I visited Mulberry's Café in September 2013, and sat in the pretty rear garden. The staff were very pleasant and we each ordered a Prawn sandwich with Marie Rose sauce, sat back and waited ...and waited ...and waited. The menu carried the usual caveat saying the food was freshly made to order, and there may be a delay... This is not a vegetarian nor a vegan cafe, BUT they do understand, and are VERY willing to make up meals that are. Believe it or not most of their cakes are made VEGAN. They have a friendly & helpful attitude. It is a nice setting with an old world atmosphere. You may have to wait a while for your... More

After quite a hectic morning walking round quite a hot and bothered Pickering, we came across this place by accident next to the railway station. The service was impeccable and very friendly, don't be put off by the dogs welcome as there is little trace of been anything other than a normal cafe. Our food was great and they made... More

All I'd say is take the time to cross the road to Mulberries, the staff are very polite and the food is amazing, coffee and cake is some of the best we've ever had. If you get chance to use their tea garden which is right next to the railway, you will have perfect views of the steam trains. It's... More
