This café has just been bought by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway who seem to appreciate how customers appreciate value for money. We had a simple meal of soup, bread roll and coffee. The service is good and the waiter very pleasant, friendly and respectful. Is was a cold day and soup was what I needed to warm me up.... More

Been here a few times. Great all day breakfast! Lovely atmosphere. Staff are all very, very friendly. Really cute outdoor seating to the rear that you can see the steam train go by in front of you.

Called in for a snack and drinks on the way back from Whitby. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Cheese scones with cream cheese and chutney excellent, as was the coffee and hot chocolate. Prices very reasonable. Haven't been in here for years but will be returning soon. Would recommend.

This tea shop has recently been taken over by the North Yorkshire Moors Heritage railway and seems to meet their usual good catering standards. It serves a good selection of drinks and lunches and the afternoon tea is a very reasonable price. The staff are pleasant and service was good. It has an outdoor seating area which affords a good... Has the option to sit outside and watch the trains but we decided to sit inside, has lovely good solid wooden chairs which was good for mum and we were offered cushions if needed. Considering it was quite busy we... More

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Quick service and well presented quality food. Wide range to choose from. Delicious toasted bacon sandwich and my little girl thoroughly enjoyed her homemade sausage roll and baked beans. Looking forward to another visit soon!
