Good value 2 mains for £10 daytime menu

We visited the Pirnhall Inn for lunch on our way to the Bannockburn visitor centre. We ordered from the 2 mains for £10 daytime menu which is excellent value. There are also free refills on draught soft drinks, another good value plus-point. The staff were friendly and our order was brought out... read more

I had the buffet of the day (curry) and it was nothing short of terrible - greasy and tasteless, while a friend had Fish & Chips, which was also greasy and tasteless.......although reasonably cheap, dinner at Pirnhall could not be considered 'value-for-money'. On a positive note: there is plenty of free parking at this restaurant.

What an awful overall experience we had, extremely unhelpful and careless staff, disgusting food then the waitress had the audacity to ask if we wished to add gratuity to the bill...We sat ourselves at a table on a Saturday afternoon in an almost empty restaurant - this should've been a warning sign!! There was food on the floor and the... More

The Staff were lovely very pleasant . However the food was below par. The steak in the mixed grill was well done & tough despite medium rare being requested. The fish batter was soggy & not very nice at all & the chips were under done & hard. The peas were cooked well!

We stopped for an evening meal, travelling from Dundee, on our way to Glasgow Airport. The staff were helpful. My wife had the buffet - which she enjoyed. I had scampi and chips - which I didn't enjoy. I would have thought it would easy to produce this "standard" meal to a good standard. It looked good on the plate.... More

Cheap but not cheerful I am afraid. Food was really cheap quality and more greasy spoon than restaurant. Macaroni was congealed and meat was fatty and tough. Screams cheapness throughout. Toilets disgusting too. Waiting staff unfriendly. Will not be back

Dined here 3 times whilst on a trip to Scotland. This is a typical chain pub affair. That is not to sound derogatory. The Pub is clean, tidy and spacious, the food is very typical of a pub chain, but of a high standard. Hot and well cooked. Prices are fair, nothing to complain about. Enjoyed our visits.

Took my daughter for a quick dinner in the week and the restaurant was fairly empty. Everything is clean and tidy and you can't fault the staff or service It is the food that lets it down. We had the chefs counter and were not inspired at all which is such a shame. Desserts were tastier though!
