Very good pub grub

In at 12 noon. The pub was quiet. Very pleasant waitress served us drinks and took our order quickly. My wife had a cauliflower pie with mash and said it was excellent. I had my usual fish and chips. It was very good, in very crunchy breadcrumbs. Women's toilet was very clean(my wife reckons if the... read more

Good service, good atmosphere, live music, good selection of drinks, and reasonably priced. A bit of crack with the locals made the night.

Had a cracking wee night in here with my better half. Food was lovely and very well priced, as were the drinks. Good music, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Would definitely go back!

Where to start. We had been looking forward to trying this place. We tried to call ahead and book a table after about twenty phone calls the finally picked up the phone manner was so poor my husband thought he had dialled the wrong number. Popped in for lunch & wasn't disappointed, had the fish & chips with mushy peas and it was cooked perfectly, with the offer of 2 meals for £10 it was cheaper than most but doesn't compromise on service or flavour, very friendly staff & welcoming atmosphere.
