Best for brunch

This is our go to place for a lazy brunch. Their scrambled eggs are amazing, as is the New York bagel. Have only visited for lunch once, and was disappointed, but you can't beat it for breakfast.

Given the exterior that looks like a wee bus shelter, this diner has a pleasant ambiance and very high quality food. The meal was well presented and delicious. It is exceptional value for money and, all round, a wee gem.

Really wanted to like this. Liked the sound of 'quirky' ( see other reviews). However, what a let down. Mediocre food at best and terribly overpriced. If my meal had been half the price I would still have been disappointed with it. I'm told the coffee / tea and cake are good...not sure I'm willing to give it another chance... More

As others have mentionned you do not come here for the decor. Funnily our experience was similar to another reviewer inthat there was one waitress and one chef on the night we came. The place was packed (a Thursday night) and the waitress said this was unexpected and on the weekend more staff are around. We were lucky and did... More

Visited this restaurant with a group of friends and colleagues in two separate parties so we were able to compare and contrast much of what was on the menu. The restaurant had been recommended as a quirky place to eat by local contacts. As has been described by others, the external appearance of Gabe's Diner is uninspiring: along the lines... More

Been here many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Have recently switched to a paleo diet and the chef could not have been more accomadating in converting the burger and chips into a paleo feast. Delish! Thank you x

After walking past this building a fair few times thinking it was a bus shelter or public toilets, a friend suggested we go there for dinner. We hadn't booked for early on a Friday evening but we were squeezed in with a 2 hour time slot, although opposite the toilet. The menu looked interesting and the pizzas were different to... More

Great place to eat, reasonably priced and amazing selection of food. The cooked breakfast was fantastic, good quality meat and lovely bread used for the toast. The little touches such as the herbs sprinkled on top really made it. They do excellent pancakes as well, best pancakes I have ever had. Although it would be good if the blueberries were... More

Nipped in for lunch as the place along the road was too busy! Never even knew this place was here to be honest. The food was excellent and the service ok if not a little lacking in humour. I can't be too critical of this as the place was literally full. To be honest I can forgive most things for... More

I'm always looking for new places to try and this is a rare find. Great atmosphere and a very lovely menu. As with everyone else it's the fillet steak sandwich is very very enjoyable. The owner (I assume) makes this place so homely and warm. The staff are friendly and attentive. Would recommended to anyone and can't wait to go... More
