Tea and scones on a cycle ride - very nice!

Great place to stop off and refuel when out and about on the bike. I haven't really sampled the menu fully here as I just dropped in for a cup tea and a scone while cycling, excellent by the way. Staff were very friendly and the service good. Perhaps I missed it and if I did apologies, but a rack... read more

This is a busy wee cafe. Fairly well organised - ticket system to allocate tables if there is none free when you arrive. Lots of tables crammed in, so not much room, but not surprising when it is so busy. A little chaotic - the staff were not all aware of when the soup choices changed. Macaroni cheese was very... Its a good place but there are always queues and its a bit overpriced. They also have less choice than my last visit. But overall nice

Regular visitors at least twice per month. Macaroni cheese every time!!!! It is delicious. Pleased they offer half portions which my partner prefers too. It is very busy at lunch (showing how popular it is) so if you arrive, can sometimes expect a brief wait. Longest has been 20 minutes but if we've had to wait, normally 5 or 10... More

We planned on coffee/lunch here as a family to celebrate a birthday (total of 5 adults and 3 children). We telephoned first thing in the morning to reserve a table as we didn't want to travel there only to find there was no space for us, especially as we had children in our party. We had difficulty finding a telephone... More

The Coffee Bothy has a range of lunchtime options ranging upwards from a soup and a roll. Currently it also has a Christmas menu that includes a turkey dinner; I tried this yesterday and found it to have all the trimmings and to be very tasty, nicely presented and warm. Staff were pleasant and friendly but service was a bit... More

Overly expensive soup and a roll. Initially disappointed as it was billed as soup and a sandwich but said sandwich was apparently only a plain white roll. The soup was decent (tomato), staff pleasant & accommodating, but the seating very cramped and a long wait time for a seat. The roll filling (bacon and brie and cranberry) was good but... More

Go here often for lunch and are never disappointed. They always have such lovely homemade soups and all the food is freshly prepared and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The Farm Shop is a great place to browse and pick up something nice.

We visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime, and had a short wait for a table. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and their estimate of a five or ten minute wait was accurate. As you go through the farm shop to reach the cafe, we enjoyed browsing whilst we were waiting. On arrival at our table the staff were very... More
