Overly expensive soup and a roll. Initially disappointed as it was billed as soup and a sandwich but said sandwich was apparently only a plain white roll. The soup was decent (tomato), staff pleasant & accommodating, but the seating very cramped and a long wait time for a seat. The roll filling (bacon and brie and cranberry) was good but... More

Go here often for lunch and are never disappointed. They always have such lovely homemade soups and all the food is freshly prepared and the staff are all friendly and helpful. The Farm Shop is a great place to browse and pick up something nice.

We visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime, and had a short wait for a table. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and their estimate of a five or ten minute wait was accurate. As you go through the farm shop to reach the cafe, we enjoyed browsing whilst we were waiting. On arrival at our table the staff were very... More

Asked for two teas and we were given a pot for two. As my husband likes weak tea, he asked for a small pot of boiling water only to be told that would cost 25p. Think this is ridiculous, first time we have ever been charged for boiled water.

We thoroughly enjoy every visit here. It is a very popular place locally & for good reason. Great service from manageress Karen who always looks after our son & we love the scrambled eggs, bacon & croissant, freshly made soup, milkshake & coffee! Be patient for a seat, it's worth it!

If visiting with children and they look older than they actually are then beware! My son turned 10 in July and the hassle we had ordering from the kids menu because he looks older was ridiculous. We were then told they would accept his age on this occasion but next time he would need to order his "cheese toastie" from... More

Food here is plain and simple but good. Soup is excellent as are the sandwiches. You must try the cakes they are also really nice. Well worth a visit as there is a well stocked shop selling all manner of food and a furniture section too.

Called in today for a quick lunch. Tea was served in a mug with the tea bag in, no teapot, which I think is unusual for a cafe/restaurant like this. The toasted sandwich was burnt and looking inside there was plenty of bacon but almost no Brie. We returned the sandwich. The chicken mayo sandwich was ok but expensive at... More
