We sort of just wandered into this restaurant and it doesn't look like much from outside but we sat upstairs and it was lovely. Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff and wonderful, real Italian cooking. I had the Mediterranea pizza and I kid you not, it was the best pizza I think I've ever had! Reasonably priced and good value... More

Called in by chance for lunch and the food was very good. The decor is dated but that goes for all of Stirling its a dated and old fashioned city so thats to be expected but the ambience was fine and dandy . Staff very welcoming and friendly . Food was freshly prepared and very tasty , we had an... More

Had read the reviews so disappointed that I was the only one dining there, so no atmosphere whatsoever. Two of the waitresses were obviously on a break and tucking into chips! Can't speak for upstairs but downstairs décor left a lot to be desired. Food nice and waiter attentive.

We arrived late - but that was no problem. We needed only a light meal. No problem either. Others came in even later - they we similarly well received. Food was just what the menu said it would be. Portions and flavours all as expected with very satisfactory presentation. Good conversation with the staff people there. Overall a good experience... More

We arrived as a party of 5 without a booking - the owners and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Meal was delicious. They coped with various dietary demands and even our friends very fussy teenager was happy - and that doesn't happen often. We'll be back.

Had a delicious meal here with 6 friends when no other place was open. Best Italian I have had in a long while and I've just moved back from Glasgow. Will be back for sure to sample more delights.

My wife and I went for a late meal 9:15pm and the team at la Ciociara were not phased and served us without rushing us. They are clearly a family business and were polite and friendly. First time but not our last.

This is a nice wee restaurant that I've visited quite a few times for lunches and I've always been welcomed with my little son. Their spag bol was lovely and their portions are great. I've always left full when eating there. They have a changing station in the toilet which helped for my toddler and the staff were helpful and... More

Enjoyed a pizza and a lasagne here on a hot evening in Stirling. The waitress was a Scottish lady of Italian descent who was very pleasant and helpful. We ate outside, until it reached 9 p.m and then, as we wanted another drink, we were politely asked to move inside as local regulations don't permit alcohol outside after this time.... More

We were looking forward to a lovely Sunday Lunch with our 3 year old but it was a less than nice experience.Although the lunch we had with pizza and pasta was nice, the treatment of us as customers was less than pleasant. First our son played with a bit of curtain string that had been there on the floor for... More
