Owners always are very welcoming. Great place for a family tea with a choice of dishes very different to other italian restaurants we've been to which makes a welcome change. Fabulous selection of ice creams which are always first choice for dessert.

I have occasion to be in Stirling about once a year as part of a group that usually involves several children or teenagers. It is a tradition that we attend La Ciociara for our evening meal. We always come back whenever in Stirling because of the high quality service and food. In the past some of the children have been... More

This restaurant is so beautiful from the outside that it entices you to enter. It could be part of a film set. Inside it is unchanging with quality fixtures which never have to to be updated. Only Nardini's in Largs can compare but La Ciociara, which is much smaller, possesses a unique charm redolent of all of our yesterdays growing... More

We came here after a full day of walking & no stops for lunch or snacks, so weren't going to be easily pleased! Even so, I was happy by the time we left. Service was a little slow as it seemed there was only one person taking care of all the tables, but he was very nice and clearly trying... More

I have visited La Ciociara three times since November. The staff are exceptionally warm and friendly. The service is very good. The food is authentic and full of flavour. Highly recommended!

I was here for lunch with a group of friends. They serve food until 4pm that it was just great as our visit to the Stirling castle took longer than we tought and this was the only good place near the castle serving food until late. It was a great surprise. They serve authentic Italian dishes, not superbe but very... More

Just enjoyed a really tasty authentic Italian meal. The atmosphere is more cafe style than traditional restaurant but that added to the experience. This was our first time in Stirling and walked passed many restaurants before choosing this one. Glad we did.

A friendly restaurant with food that genuinely tastes Italian. The coffee and cakes are lovely on a chilly morning and the food is great, especially if you choose carefully or get the staff to advise you. The pizza is great, like the pizza you get in Italy rather than the American style ones. I found the portions generous and the... More

Went here for our ruby wedding with family. Great starters, my daughter had a massive bowl of mussels more like a main course than a starter. My antipasta meats and seafood was superb. The lasagne was superb and the sea food risotto was brilliant. But the ultimate compliment was when my son stated the spaghetti bol was nearly as good... More
