Mulberry Restaurant is based in the historic Langshott Manor hotel, near to Gatwick. But this is as far away from airport hotels and aeroplane food as you’re likely to get around here, Mulberry means gourmet food in gourmet surroundings. Set in a restored sixteenth century manor house, the restaurant is bedecked in regal red and green, swagged window dressings frame the view over the picturesque Surrey garden and gleaming glass and crisp linen set the scene. The menu is created often using produce grown in Langshott’s own kitchen garden and combines traditional methods with a fresh injection of modernity while a 140 bin wine list makes sure your meal really takes off.

Afternoon tea very nice

4 friends and teachers celebrating one birthday, very pleasant surroundings if a little dark. No replenishing of and witches or scones though. Some do, these did not. Glass of champagne started it nicely before term starts again

We visited for lunch last month as I had heard about this place from a friend. When we arrived I couldn't help feeling that we were being looked up and down by the staff. The food was okay, although portions are very small and your probably find yourself having to keep eating the bread to feel like you had a... More

As I cannot eat vinegar, I wasn't able to have a couple of choices on the tasting menu, so we opted to eat from the three course a la carte menu for dinner. Many of the dishes are designed with pickled vegetables or sauces or dressings involving vinegar, so I had to negotiate thes obstacles, however, despite this, my meal... More

Visited the mulberry restaurant earlier this month for lunch with my wife. The food was petty good, but should be for the prices charged. But the service was terrible. We kept having to ask for someone as they seemed to be more attentive to I would say their 'favourites'. I'm guessing if you come here regularly and tip well you... More

Visited here as lunch guests of a couple celebrating a wedding anniversary. We had the private room at the end of the dining room, and this has a decking area backing onto the trees and pond - very picturesque. Terrific surroundings. Excellent service throughout, and given the fine dining the food arrived in a very well-organised way. All the courses... More

I have eaten here 4 times over the last 3 years and has much improved in this time, my last visit was for Mother's Day and had decided to treat her to the 5 course tasting menu in which I'm very glad that I did, all the dishes were amazing especially the deserts as I have a real sweet tooth,... Beautiful garden and surroundings, disappointing food and absolutely appalling service. Disinterested surely staff and we had to ask for everything - like drinks maybe, then bread, then maybe some butter ... And we waited in between to give them time to think of it before we asked very politely. Food was ok - well presented but tasteless

The sign says 'Drop in for lunch'. Hence, in good faith I decided to take my in laws who were visiting from Sweden on a Sunday for lunch. At 12h35, I was informed that the place had been booked for a party that was coming in later that day.The restaurant was completely empty , without a single customer. However, the... More

Excellent food and good wine. The advice offered by the young man on service that evening was superb and the wine excellent. Lovely ambience.

I wanted to like this place. The setting is great and I was looking forward to my seven course tasting menu. We were shown to the morning room for a drink whilst we waited for friends to arrive. And waited for an order to be taken. And waited for the drinks to arrive. It really wasn't busy. This is not... More
