I used to live locally so know the pub well. Haven't had lunch there for around two years. My wife and I ordered burgers which took more than half an hour to arrive. Presented on a 'rustic' chopping board cracked and tired, a few flavourless chips in a miniature fry basket a portion of coleslaw (not fresh) some tomatoe relish... More

A very disappointing evening Tues 20th May. We were celebrating fiends birthday - 7 of us. The bar staff did not know what they were doing. Ordered our meal at 7.40. The appetisers arrived 40 mins later. Main course arrived after 1 hour 20 mins. When we reminded them twice that the side salad had not arrived it was plonked... More

I went for lunch with two friends having been recommended to The Fox Revived. Warm welcome from the staff. Menu looked fine but as we wanted sandwiches we had to ask for sandwich menu. I got the idea that the proprietors wanted us to order full meals. Lots of filling in the sandwiches but the bread was slightly toasted, which... More

Poor bar service, food average and way overpriced - prices did not match food quality. Used to be a nice pub.

Stopped in on way back from Gatwick airport. Got really quick friendly service, all the staff were excellent. Food came quickly and was very good. I would have liked more blue cheese on my mushrooms but then I like a bigger kick. My wife's lamb's liver with bacon was superb and I really enjoyed my roast chicken with trimmings. The... More

Four of us had a leisurely long lunch in the delightful green house conservatory. My wife and I had the roast beef and yorkies with incredibly hot horseradish sauce ! Yorkies great, although the beef was advertised as pink, I would read jolly close to raw, ie the outside had seen some heat but the rest of the slice was... More

Having been here before for dinner and had a wonderful time, I thought I would bring friends for lunch on a sunny Monday. Pub wasn't busy and three of us ordered sandwiches which took over 45mins to come!! This was then followed by someone tending to the pubs lawns with a noisey strimmer, just what we wanted in a nice... More

A very nice eating area, good service and very welcoming. The food was served quickly and the price offers during the week were another bonus.

Ate here last night with my family. My brother had the steak -priced £17, half of it was very good, but the other was very fatty and couldn't even cut through it with his knife. He did complain when they took his plate away, and they did say they would refund that from the bill, which they did. I had... More

Some weeks back I enjoyed 2 occasions with 2 sets of different guests and really enjoyed The Fox Burgers. Truly the best. However they are now a miserable bog standard burger labelled 'Longhorn'. Thin crumbly burgers with no salad as had before.Just plonked on serving board. No longer my weekend lunch venue. Bring back the Fox Burger!!
