I love the atmosphere if this place and every time I come here I pray the food us up to scratch. Tonight was like most of the other times. The good looked good but no flavour. I had the Mac and Cheese and was expecting some serious flavours with a truffle infusion and mushroom bruchetta. What I got was barely... More

We have been twice to this "gastro" pub and have not been that impressed on either occasion. We first dropped in on a midweek lunchtime looking for a light meal. The chips were appalling, tasted as if they were straight out of the Freezer. Asked for replacements - which were provided but were no better. Next occasion was around 8.00... More

Had Sunday lunch today with 19 people; a mixture of adults and young children. Admittedly the pub was pretty quiet but they catered very well with our large group. Drinks and Food were brought out quite quickly and the service was polite and efficient. The roasts were very tasty but there wasn't really enough - 2 slices of meat, 3... More

We dined on Wednesday evening with friends. The decor and atmosphere in the pub was great and it was nice and relaxed The staff were very attentive and took time to chat with us and join in with some banter. The menu was very good with a nice variation of dishes. It was also steak night and there was a... More

We ate here Saturday night with friends. Several things marked this down as disappointing: 1) Having to chase our drinks and start food without wine - "yes I've put the order in at the bar" isn't good enough! 2) Having to look at a table cleaner and J cloth left on the next table 3) The young lady who served... ISunday Lunch with the mother in law, excellent food and service. I am a vegetarian and cannot eat certain foods due to health and allergies. I was able to speak to the chef by phone before booking and he was very accommodating. When we arrived they were aware of my allergy and ensured I had some options to choose from.... More

I was here today with a party of 12 for a friends birthday, the pub and restaurant on the surface seem fine but the service was slow and unfriendly. Our food orders were taken within a reasonable time but the food was very slow to arrive, the standard of the food was below average particularly the burgers which looked like... More
