Booked last minute after driving by and it looked lovely. We were given a friendly welcome. There was only one waitress and one person on the bar and most tables were occupied. I had scallops which were very nice. Then liver and bacon. All well cooked. I would certainly go back. The only reason I didn't give 5 * was... More

Attended with friends for valentines and my wife's birthday. We had pre-ordered the special weekend platters , one chateaubriand and the other a fish platter. As these were nearly £30 per head we were expecting a great meal. The starters arrived and being gluten free it was nice to see a selection. After some time the platters arrived and how... More

A lovely looking country pub with a big car park and hanging baskets on the outside make this pub look warm and welcoming. I decided to go here with a girlfriend for lunch. As we walked into the pub we got a very cold welcome by the waitress who was very abrupt. She gave us a scrappy paper menu, the... More

Just returned from a lunchtime meal, and sadly disappointed. We've been to the Jolly Farmers a few times and assumed this would be similar... Not so. We came to order and only then were told of the missing menu selections, which was a bad start. They then brought us the local breads which for some inexplicable reason had been toasted.... More

Six of us went here for Sunday lunch. Booked a table for 2pm. Unfortunately the food and service didn't live up to the decor. The sausage and mash consisted of two sausages, a small amount of mash and nothing else - no veg. It certainly didn't warrant the £12.95 price tag. The 8 hour cooked shoulder of lamb meals were... Living close by we have visited this establishment a few times before without being very impressed. Last year we heard that it had changed hands and had been bought by the same people that run the Jolly Farmer in Reigate and which we like very much, so we decided to try it and were very disappointed with the food. So... More

It is a pub with pub food. If you like big TVs with a continuous sports program on during your meal, then this is for you. The food was OK. The staff were friendly and polite. No complaints. It is was it is. RJC.

Having lived in the area a number of years we thought it was time to try The Fox Revived for a bit of late lunch - I ran in quickly to check they were still serving and was pleasantly greeted by a lady behind the bar who told me they were. We were seated promptly at a nice table and... More
