We ate here Saturday night with friends. Several things marked this down as disappointing: 1) Having to chase our drinks and start food without wine - "yes I've put the order in at the bar" isn't good enough! 2) Having to look at a table cleaner and J cloth left on the next table 3) The young lady who served... ISunday Lunch with the mother in law, excellent food and service. I am a vegetarian and cannot eat certain foods due to health and allergies. I was able to speak to the chef by phone before booking and he was very accommodating. When we arrived they were aware of my allergy and ensured I had some options to choose from.... More

I was here today with a party of 12 for a friends birthday, the pub and restaurant on the surface seem fine but the service was slow and unfriendly. Our food orders were taken within a reasonable time but the food was very slow to arrive, the standard of the food was below average particularly the burgers which looked like... More

I am not sure if this is under same ownership still as the Jolly Farmers at Buckland. Nicely decorated with home made toys and preserves for sale inside. Needs an extra bar person as gets busy with orders for food and drink early evening. Main courses are quite large. On this occasion we sat outside. Table service was prompt and... More

Long time since we have been here, called in for a bit of lunch, didn't have to wait too long, staff were ok, food was pretty average for the £ paid, also presented on wooden boards, which looked pretty grubby & well used. Huge slice of bread with ploughmans not served with butter, 3 massive pickled onions, meat rack was... More

We have been here on several occasions when we visit family and have always been impressed. Lovely atmosphere, great setting and probably the best fish pie ever!We have been to several pubs in the area and keep coming back to this one-the upper 25th must be something special!

We came here for Saturday lunch with my elderly cousin who used to come here when she was young. We have been lucky in that although there is limited seating inside for those with dogs we always manage to find a table. We had to wait a while at the bar which, whilst understandable on a Saturday, would have been... More

We haven't been to the Fox Revived for a few months as the experience we had was so awful that we decided never to go again, after hearing locally that they have turned a corner we braved a visit with both parents and had a lovely meal, the food was excellent, in fact my fiancé commented that the fish and... We visited for lunch on a Saturday. We were delighted by the choice offered by the menu- especially the vegetarian options. My 81 year old mother went with the fish and chips (her usual choice when eating out as she can't get to a take away) and said it was the 'best fish I've had in years. It's lovely and... More
