We visited for lunch on a Saturday. We were delighted by the choice offered by the menu- especially the vegetarian options. My 81 year old mother went with the fish and chips (her usual choice when eating out as she can't get to a take away) and said it was the 'best fish I've had in years. It's lovely and... More

I have mixed views on the Fox Revived; one the one hand the premises, staff and gardens are lovely, on the other the food was average - not special. Our liver & bacon on mash was so salty I had to have another pint, maybe that's their plan? My friends shared a ploughman's, and it really was big enough to... More

Went to this for the first time yesterday for a 6pm sit down for 4 adults and 2 children using one of the Pubs excellent offers (50% off food) We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. The pub was really quiet at this time but soon got busier. The inside of the pub is very smart... More

We only return to the pub for the garden. I was disappointed again by service yesterday. Even though they seemed to have enough staff and weren't terribly busy for a Sunday it takes a long time to get served. We only stayed for drinks, but food did look good yesterday. Very pricey for what it is though. It's a shame,... More

I was expecting more traditional pub fare from the way The Fox Revived had been described to me, but the soup of the day was butternut squash with goat cheese, and much of the rest followed suit. There were traditional dishes like fish & chips and ploughman's lunch. I had one of the specials, a huge Cornish pasty with interesting... More

We ate here over the b/h weekend & took some friends who we thought would enjoy the place as much as we do. Sadly we were all disappointed. The food is now overpriced for what it is. My husband ordered the fish & chips & wondered where the rest of his meal was. The chips are served in a mini... More

Went to the Fox Revived in June 2014. The food was good, staff friendly and the pub nice but the trail of sewage running through the width of the garden from a drain was far from pleasant. As children have to pass through that part of the garden to get to the play area, it is also a complete health... More

My wife and I went for a meal at the Fox Revived last week. The decor is pleasant and recently refurbished. The food was excellent; I had a steak and my wife had a gourmet burger that were both cooked to perfection. The puddings too were equally good. The menus make much mention of the sourcing of the food locally,... More

Have just come back from having Breakfast at the Fox Revived with our friends. Haven't been there for year and am really impressed with the interior and staff. Had a lovely breakfast sitting out in the sun. Lovely setting, pub and staff. Recommend it and will be back. Thank you.

Went for brunch, the place was nearly empty. The food was pretty good and the menu quite varied for a pub. Desserts were quite nice as well. The place maybe lacked character, it was very quiet, but that shouldnt and won't detract from the food.
