7 of us went to the half moon last night for a works xmas meal. The pub was absolutely packed and very loud but all the staff and the owner coped extremely well with this and we were served the most beautiful delicious xmas meal. Can't wait to return with my family as the other meals that were coming out... More

After researching the area for a venue for a team dinner, I booked The Half Moon and we were not dissapointed. A fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambience, the service and the food was stunning. I only wish this place was on my doorstep. I will certainly revisit, whether working on the area or when using Gatwick for... More

Just a quick review, went on a Thursday night, booked late in the day but they squeezed us in. Friendly staff and good wine, however where this place really scores is with the food. I had a really excellent pork belly and my girlfriend had (she said) a wonderful liver and bacon (shudder). We couldn't fault it. Good value too.

This was the second time visiting The Half Moon. Last year we found it to be what we thought might be our "perfect" English pub. This year supported that thought. The patrons were friendly, the service was excellent and the meal was wonderful. We would heartily recommend this establishment to anyone.

We visited the pub last Saturday with my cousin visiting us from Canada as we were staying at the nearby Trumbles B&B. The food was good, the people very friendly, the Landlord was great, very welcoming and they even gave us a lift back to the B&B! Highly Recommended.

Went to this pub on the recommendation of a local villager who we'd stopped to ask for directions to our hotel. It's a little gem. We shared fried whitebait with a garlic mayonnaise to start, then i had sirloin steak with garlic and herb butter while my partner munched on lamb rump with mash and spinach. We shared a cheese... Half Moon is our local, we've not eaten there for a while and decided to have Sunday dinner there tonight. We hadn't booked and to our surprise it was really busy, the helpful waitress got us a table- she was excellent, the food was delicious and we had a lovely evening.
