Disappointed

Couldn't get parked outside so had to park further down in the village and walk to the pub using the torch on our phones as it was so very dark in the side road that led to the pub. The pub had a good atmosphere but there was a birthday party on that night so not sure what it's like... read more

Had dinner here before our flight good choice main course was very good but the pudding was second rate stodgy and bland for a cumble without crumble.

We have been here twice whilst staying overnight at The Russ Hill Hotel before flying from Gatwick. Once we ate outside in August where the planes fly so close you feel you can almost touch them. It certainly gets you in the holiday mood! And the other was last week in February where we ate inside in the restaurant. There... More

We were staying at the nearby Trumbles Guest House for the night and in the evening we decided to walk down to pub. It was a lovely Summers Evening and was nice to get out for the short stroll there and back. The owner of Trumbles recommended The Half Moon, and very grateful we were as it turned out to... More

Good menu with wide range food. Had crab salad and my husband had a curry - both excellent. Friendly service

Generous portions . A little pricy at £13.00 was the initial thought but worth it as there was plenty and it was fresh. The Brownies for desert delicious. Would be great if they did two or three course deals .

Four of us ate there after a long flight from holidays. Nice welcome food was enjoyed by all. Got really busy but they managed yo squeeze us in. Thanks maggie and Gareth Roberts.

Lovely atmosphere - visited with some relatives from the USA and they lived the Olde World charm. The food was fantastic.

Excellent food, try the belly pork and the fried haddock, both really tasty and hearty portions. Competitive prices for the food and drink, and great friendly service. Well worth a visit!

It may of been a Monday and very quiet. But the meal was lovely. Well cooked and presented. A full menu. Plenty for all tastes
