Really enjoyed our evening here. A pretty and cosy pub, we hadn't booked but were advised we could get a table upstairs. Upon ordering was advised they had run out of salad but I was able to find something else on the menu and they replaced chips with vegetables when asked (although did need a reminder of this as it... My guesthouse recommended this pub, and with the weather being great the idea of dining outside appealed to me. The pub is a beautiful old building in a wonderful location. The interior is comfortable and wooden, and outside you can choose wooden tables if you just want drinks, or glass tables on a decking if you're there for food. The... More

At first we walked in and it was really busy for a Monday night the table wait was a while and we had a drink at the bar and was offered a table at the bar and after eating the food can see why it would be so busy! The food is really good and really filling! The staff were... More

This was a big surprise. We found ourselves spending the night in Horley while waiting for a flight out of Gatwick. We had no great expectations as it is a small village. We found the atmosphere to be charming despite the fact that the pub is quit large. It's on a river next door to a beautiful old church. There... More

Great menu, good food, great ales and warm welcome a pub with real charm and character. Not exactly the type of pub you find just driving along, but that's a good thing because once you know where it is you always find a table available even if it means a short wait.

Like so many others we chose Ye Old Six Bells for a meal the night before our holiday flight from Gatwick. A taxi ride away from the Marriott at the hotel but well worth it. Great value, good ambiance both of which are significantly lacking at airport hotels. Excellent meals for everyone, good range of beers and good service. Will... More

After a service issue about a month ago, we decided that we would give the Six Bells a second chance and we are really glad that we did! Firstly, I have to say I think it's clear from the very friendly and helpful staff we encountered on this visit that the previous issue we had was just an isolated incident,... More

This place was recommeded by a local guest house that we were staying at prior to flying out of Gatwick the following morning. We had pre booked a table which was a good move because when we arrived it was very busy. We had a very nice meal along with a bottle of wine. The service was good and there... More
