A lovely old pub to start our holiday.

I researched the net to find a suitable pub to eat and drink in before our flight from Gatwick. This was a real find, situated just up the road from the Terminals, it served excellent ales and good food. A lovely location and an old worlde inn. Definitely on the menu next time we fly from Gatwick.

An excellent meal beautifully prepared. Service was very good but I felt they were a little understaffed for the night.

It was Sunday afternoon so fairly busy but it was apparent there were not enough staff. I approached a waitress to enquire about menus and a table. She was very abrupt. Not friendly or welcoming at all. There was only one bar man on so the queue for drinks took a long time. The waitress left our food without even... More

Popped into this little hidden gem on the way back to the hotel one night. I followed some pretty strange directions from a colleague which meant me passing through the church graveyard only to find this quaint little pub at the other side of the church. Service at the bar was a little slow but the restaurant area was pretty... More

This is my fourth visit and I never went out less then happy. The location, near the Old Church and a little pond takes you immediately back 400 years from Gatwick airport which is less than 10 minutes by car, if you sleep at the Holiday Inn you can reach The Pub in a 5 minutes walk... crossing the cemetery,... We were just staying over night on business in the area and went to the Six Bells on the off chance of getting a table. We we were met by a lovely waitress who I think was Estonian. She found us a Table on a busy night and attended to us very quickly. I give her 10/10. The food matched... More
