Great old fashioned pub. A little bit out of the way, but that's not a bad thing. Always really busy. I judge pubs on if you bash your head when you walk in on the ceiling beams, so this pub definately scores high on my scale, can only just get to the bar lol. Had the wild boar and chorizo... More

We booked a table at this pub prior to travelling abroad from Gatwick as we were staying at a B & B within walking distance.. The menu was very interesting with plenty of choice and the food delicious. The service was excellent and the cost of a three course meal very reasonable.

Visited on Sunday 22 March at lunchtime. Love this pub. Booked a table for four and we had the Sunday roasts - really nice, plenty of meat, lots of veggies, very enjoyable. Brilliant desserts - really big, good to share! Make sure you book as this place is very popular! Looking forward to our next visit.

Had a lovely meal here while staying near Gatwick before our holiday flight. Access from our hotel 5 min walk away ( Corner House) was through a graveyard . Loved the ambience of the old English pub and the food was great 2 courses for £11 we had pates, hot cheese, steak and gammon. Wine was reasonably priced also. Very... More

We have had two wonderful meals here recently , a Sunday roast , with lovely fresh vegetables and plenty of meat with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We also took family on a Wednesday lunchtime and all tried something different , it was all wonderful, and we will be returning soon

Wonderful atmospheric restaurant complete with low ceiling beams and wonky floor levels. The food was good bistro style, presentation was good and taste excellent. The trip to the loo was a bit of an adventure, not something to do if you had imbibed a few to many!

The food was good in this pub, and of course, it's a pub with good beer. Very "pub-y." The walk in Horley through the old church and cemetery is eerily serene and interesting. It's not cheap OR expensive. Great atmosphere, and friendly service. The people were very nice, and it's a hopping place with the locals. Never a bad sign.
