This was our second year here. It was bank holiday Monday,we called for lunch ,we were seated but when I went to order was told it was only main menu that day, which should have been pointed out on arrival.we just had a starter lamb kofta but lettuce outside leaves so could not eat. They defiantly... read more

They do good Sunday lunches (or did a few years ago when I last tried one) but the evening meal service recently wasn't great. And this is not a drinkers' pub - they have only one barman who spends more time taking food orders than pouring beer!

We came to this pub a few years ago when we stayed in this area. Again the meal was lovely , service a little slow but they were very busy, which proves its a very good pub for meals. We had the evening set menu and it was good. Will be back if we fly from gatwick again .

Although the restaurant was very busy and we had not booked we were not the only potential diners who got short shrift from the manageress. I appreciate she was under pressure but having been in management many years, she should go on a public relations course as soon as possible. The first time we have walked out in many years... More

An out of the way pub with a great menu and good range of wines and beers. The barman was kept busy and could have done with assistance at many occasions. The wait for drinks was often long.

This pub is very busy as it's located close to the airport. We were staying at the travelodge and this is the nearest place to eat if you don't want to eat in the TL bar. We entered the pub and had to wait a few minutes before we were aknowledged at all. We hadn't booked and when asked for... More

I ate here 2x this month. I, and my guests on this recent visit wild staying near Gatwick for a stop over, really enjoyed our meals. The prices are fair and the representation of the restaurant and food was nicely presented. There is outdoor seating and the pub is in a nice quiet location just outside a churchyard. We will... I have been big fan of Ye Olde Six Bells since moving nearby and take friends and family whenever they visit as it's a lovely country style pub in a pretty setting. We've enjoyed many meals there and having not visited for quite a long time, decided to go back on the early May Bank Holiday. Upon arrival, we went... More

good quality food, although busy (Bank Holiday Monday), the service was efficient, nice surroundings and well laid out pub, but be careful if going upstairs low ceilings!

Had a nice meal here before our gatwick flight. Being a "vintage inn" they are very busy restaurants especially on weekends. As i know from previous experience in working for them myself. There were 6 of us in our party, and we all ordered something different. All meals were brought out at the same time, and were hot and tasty.... More
