Trip Advisor needs to add another option of 'Good' that is better than 'Average' but not 'Very Good' as the Pub is a case in point - it's better than average but a few points stop it from being very good. We popped in, without a reservation the night before our overseas holiday. There were 7 if us, the place was packed and not only did they fit us in but the food was great and fast and the service charming. Would definitely recommend and come again next time we fly from Gatwick!

Booked online to book a reservation a few hours prior with no problems. Service was polite and efficient and food very yummy. Lovely building with lots of character. The roast platter comes highly recommended. Children's menu very good too. Will definitely return.

Visited for dinner as I am moving nearby and found the pub and restaurant to be delightful, I haven't been for aprox 1 year but will deff return soon. Food is very good, the ale selection could be better but otherwise very nice.

Light lunch for two with drinks enjoyed al fresco on the attractive seated patio overlooking the River Mole. A flat glass of Prosecco quickly exchanged without fuss. Plenty of serving staff on hand so service was quick. The restaurant is suited to all age groups. When we lunched there was a 3 generation family and several couples.
