Beware of the pirates

Ate here recently with two small children and everyone left disappointed. The initial service was standard (place your order at the bar, wait for the food) and everything after that was a disaster. The special of the day was off (at 1pm) and the food that we ordered took 30 mins to arrive - when we... read more

We visited here in June, we popped in for some lunch and wasn't disappointed. The price for a burger was very reasonable, so too were the sandwiches. The portions were good and the food was fresh and tasty. However, despite the service being quick it was very lack luster, a smile here or there would have been nice :) However... More

Went here for food and me and the other half have mixed views. Nice little beer garden where we sat and was a nice social place. I went for the ribs which were lovely and I would have again. My partner went for cod and chips and considering they pride them selves (apparently) on their local seafood it wasn't great.... More

I have visited Tenby many times over the last 30 years , with family in the area visiting restaurants is a regular occurence. I was recommended to the Buccaneer by a family member and I can say I wasn't dissappointed, the atmosphere although bust was pleasent the service again although busy was a very acceptable. The food was plentiful and... More

My family and i visited the buccaneer on the 9th june, we had my 1 year old son with us so checked on the waiting time with some of the other diners and were told roughly 30 mins. WE decided to order a chicken burger, lamb shank, fish and chips and a goats cheese tart. WE then waited over an hour... More

We've visited this pub many times over many recent years and I've never been disappointed. Yes, some of the staff could do with a smile or two but they're not unpleasant or rude. The toilets aren't great either, but I don't go for either of those. So - the food, simply delicious. The fresh crab sandwich I've dreamt about for... More

This is the first time that I have been driven to use this forum because of the bad food served at a pub/restaurant. Yesterday 9th June 2013 along with my wife and step daughter we decided to eat at the Buccaneer. This meal (for all of us) must have been the worst one that I've had for many years. I... More

Food here was lovely, although felt that the menu was fairly limited. Given that it is situated at a seaside resort, it would have been nice to have had more fish on the menu. Food was lovely when it arrived and very filling. Felt that the cost of the drinks was rather expensive. For 1 beer and 4 soft drinks,... More

Food good as always, toilets in desperate need of reburb, staff not great - gave me a dirty glass - attitude "not bothered", long hair dangling dangerously close to food being served.

We had a bad experience a while ago here, so we just popped in for a drink before we ate elsewhere. After watching the meals arriving on the tables surrounding us, we decided we would try our luck again. We are glad we did, the food came quickly and piping hot. I had the fish special great value for £12... More
