Great outdoor dining

Had a great meal of red snapper and chips in the outdoor section . Although it was a cool evening ,felt warm and comfortable in the no smoking area with ample heaters and good service. When ever you visit the seaside it can be hit and miss if you go for pub food. Not here if you visit Tenby you must eat here, fish pie , chowder, lamb steaks x3. pork steaks x3. Lovely salad with pineapple and olives not the run of the mill lettuce and cucumber. If you lik prawns order a pint... More

We have visited the buccaneer quite a few times over the years. The food remains largely the same, but what has changed is the attitude of the staff. On both occasions this summer we witnessed four kitchen staff enter the packed courtyard and all light up cigarettes and smoke in front of paying patrons. Four people, two cigarettes each, and... On really pleasant day the beer garden was a delight for our group including the 2 dogs. The food was well prepared and very tasty with the exception that there was a bit of crab she'll in my wife's fresh crab sandwich. The rest of the meals were very tasty. The added benefit of the lovely flower baskets was a... More

The good. Food Beer garden Reasonable beers. The bad. Slow service Running out of beers Visited in late June and they had a fair selection of beers. Unfortunately my choices seem to have run off before I could have a second pint. This happened on 2 separate occasions. Again on 2 separate visits there was a queue at the bar... More

Lovely atmosphere, great sun trap enclosed garden at the rear. Water bowl for the dog always a bonus! The lamb shank looked fab but they had sold out so my second choice was ribs.....I was pleased they had sold out of lamb as the ribs were gorgeous, plenty of meat on them and the portion was massive. Very friendly staff

We stopped here for lunch we sat in the beer garden( I use the word garden loosely it's a concrete courtyard jam packed with tables) but with it being in the town centre they have done the best they could. We had ham sandwiches and ordered a potion of chips each very nice food but be aware the portions of... More

This place isn't anywhere near as good as it used to be. Steak was terrible. People seem to use the pub as an alleyway or walk through. Fast service though
