We are regulars at this pub.....but this year it is under new ownership, the quality of the food has gone down considerably, it's such a shame as it's convenient for us to pop in on a Friday night and Saturday. Friday night we ate there and to be perfectly honest if I had a blindfold on I would not be... More

It was so good, why real a winning formula! I won't be back. the place has been ruined from the good work that Jayne and the team had built up. The menu has been reduced, the quality has gone along with the friendly atmosphere and welcome. We visited regularly, always enjoyed a welcome and a nice meal. The reduced menu now... More

Do not be put off by location. Quirky décor, including some freaky mannequins, hats to suit everyone's taste. Food was delicious and plentiful, can recommend the pizza. Entertainment on the Saturday night was awesome. A man, A guitar, but I could sing along to most tunes, great atmosphere, friendly for the solo female traveller, family friendly, and an outdoor play... More

I wrote a review about this establishment a year or so ago and gave it top marks. Since that time there has been a change of managememt and also a change of attitude, and not for the better. Two consecutive evenings this weekend have been spoilt as this 'Public House' has be closed to the public as a result of... More

Have been to The Galloping Major regularly for the last 3-4yrs and always had a warm welcome, good food and generally nice time whether manically busy or quieter. As soon as we walked in this weekend we could feel a change in the place, no warm welcome of a smile and a bit of small talk. You no longer felt... More

We have visited this pub many times before and have always had a pleasant time. The reasturant itself is lovely as is the play area for the young children and arcade for out eldest. Under new management we were informed and oh how it has fallen short of our expectations. Maybe an extra 1or 2 staff would of helped ease... More
