Whilst on a winter break last week we visited this charming, traditional pub several times. The food is delicious and we would particularly recommend the seafood. A range of traditional ales is also available, some locally brewed. The pub is a traditional pub, no loud music and no large screen TVs. It has a warm, welcoming maritime theme and is... More

We received a very warm welcome on entering; so many beers to choose from so my husband and friend were offered samples to help them choose. We decided to have a light bite and were not disappointed; we enjoyed a freshly cooked meal of ample size and good quality food from the varied menu. As we live in South West... More

We try to get to get to Tenby once or twice a year and when we do, we always make a point of visiting this cosy, atmospheric little pub as the real ales are great and the food never disappoints. We have friends over from France and as her Ladyship of Cahors had always wanted to visit Tenby, we took... More

We arrived in Tenby at lunchtime and immediately looked for somewhere for a pint of real ale and some food. We found the Hope and Anchor, and the welcoming menu enticed us in. It is an unpretentious pub with a really good atmosphere. We were disappointed that "Reverend James" beer, said to be available on the notice, was not, but... More

A great little pub, with great atmosphere. We used the Hope & Anchor as a place to get our bearings, it was a joy to visit tbh. A great guest ale pub, with a place in the CAMRA good beer guide too. We didn't eat here but the food looked great. Thanks and well done.

However, it was worth the wait as the whole bass was fresh and well cooked, as were the classic mackerel fillets. One of our friends had a curry and thoroughly enjoyed it.... More

Came here with two children (age 8 and 11) for food in the evening. Arrived around 6:30pm and managed to get the last table seating 4. There seems to be two areas - the main bar areas downstairs and a dining area upstairs. Both are fairly compact, but we went for the downstairs to get a bit more atmosphere. There... More
