Not Bad Could Be Great

Booked a table for eight, we arrived an hour before. There was a festival going on with live bands great feeling and atmosphere weather was great for Easter. Bar area was extremely busy and was our main issue. Our table was at the rear of the pub I had to close the door as there was no heating on... read more

Entered into what looked like a lovely old pub but on closer inspection filled with old tables bought from the car boot.Food was overpriced , the chips were raw frozen catering style ones ,food was also very minimal, dips and bread consisted of olive oil and microwaved bread, wheres the dips. And then attempted to charge for a meal we did not have.Music... My aunt visited the establishment on Friday 27th April for a drink while down at her static caravan located less than 2 miles away. She didn't have anything to eat just a drink with her husband and eldest son but was impressed by the presentation and quality of the food being served that she decided to book a table for... More

Went for Sunday lunch with my husband but we were disappointed the lady serving the drinks wasn't very friendly but the waitress was. The starter was okay but not allot off it,same with the meal not much veg.and we asked for crackling and apple sauce and they didn't have either we won't be going back.

Recently reopened and refurbished with new owners Lloyd and Chris. What and excellent Sunday lunch - proper gravy not the pack stuff. Service was excellent although they were catering for so many people, with plenty of time between courses. This will be a regular Sunday revenue. Hats off to the Chief.

Our party had a fabulous meal tonight at the Parsonage, the new management and chef Lee Williams made our night very special. The menu was very impressive with a good choice of starters and mains. Six of us enjoyed a variety of dishes including Ham hock terrine, Goat cheese tart, duck, rib eye steak, I had Hake served with potatoes... More

We went to the Parsonage as it has new owners and have previously had excellent meals there. really pleased to say the food was as good as previously and still really fantastic value for money. we had a bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc that was under a tenner! I had moules marinere to start, a really tasty creamy sauce, perhaps... More

Had a delicious sunday lunch there, New management and new chef. Could recommend highly. Staff were a little disorganised but you can expect this after just a couple of day opening.
