Inn restaurant recommended by Hotel we were in nearby so booked and went for dinner. Enjoyed the Worthington Cream and Guinness and ordered but had to wait a long time for actual food, although waitress apologised as there was a shortage of staff in the kitchen, and provided complimentary olives and bread. Starters were very nice but then had to... More

We arrived without a reservation. Staff showed us to a table near the washrooms and apologizing for the location, which was not an issue at all. Staff continued to be helpful and friendly. Great food

My husband and I ate at The Parsonage twice and both our meals were of a high standard. We were very pleased with the quality of food, the service and the prices. I ate steak which was cooked exactly as I asked. My husband chose the steak pudding and mash and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other meals were fish and... More

The staff were very... More

A nice enough place to eat although the decor could be better (it is a bit rustic). Staff however were attentive and did make an effort to accommodate a party of 8 at late notice. However, our 8 meals were of mixed quality - some good (eg fish and chips) but chicken dish and garlic bread were disappointing

We visited the Parsonage on a Thursday night for 'steak night' and weren't disappointed with either the food or the service. We had a 3 year old and baby with us, which is always a bit risky when trying to enjoy an evening meal, but the staff were great and my son's meal arrived quickly so he didn't have to... More
