Lovely evening yet again at the parsonage , we are so lucky to have this pub as our local. We came last night with two friends, we had a sharing plate to start, which was lovely, garlic mushrooms in a shot glass, pate with homemade bread, prawns in batter, Parma ham, smoked Mackerel , & pork crackling ! Then we... More

The food in this pub was wonderful and priced unbelievably low. You would pay twice the price in any town for this sort of standard of meal. Luckily we did get in on a Tuesday night but it was the last table available and the people who arrived behind us where turned away, so booking is recommend.

We were lucky enough to visit this great pub while enjoying a family get together for my mums birthday at the local Ivy Tower complex. In fact we only visited it due to a very late change in plans that meant we didn't actually call to see if they could accommodate us until 2 hours before. Luckily, probably due to... More

We stayed in the village and the Parsonage was recommended by our host. We ate here three times in the week. First night was fabulous although we were squeezed in under the large TV. Posh fish and chips (lobster) was delicious. Second meal was good although our wine choices were unavailable apparently because the delivery had let them down. Our... More

Having ate at The Sun for a couple of nights, we thought we would try The Parsonage and we were not disappointed. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 children & 2 dogs all looked after with smiley faces and again, the locals were very friendly and chatty. I would say that the food here is a little bit... More

We were staying locally and were recommended this pub by the landlady. It was around half 7ish on a bank holiday Monday and the place was fully booked. Instead of turning us away the landlord asked us to wait half an hour and he'd see what he could do. Anyway, after around 20 mins he managed to squeeze us in... More

Ate here with the family earlier this week and had an enjoyable meal. The staff were efficient and very friendly. Our toddler's food came really quickly - always a bonus since hungry children can be fractious. His fish fingers were actually very nice goujons. Our food, 2 steaks, fish and chips and tagiatelli were well cooked and nicely presented. All... More
