Great customer service

Food was good, the customer service was great. Its a fun fish and chip bar, with the addition of a license for those of you who like a drink.

What can I say except really honest Fish and Chips. The fish is fresh, the batter is light and crisp, the chips are real. Cooked there and then. A really simple, no thrills excellent chippy. The staff are very friendly and chatty. They really make you feel welcomed and are real characters.

Often eat here at Maddy's but the last time it was a little bit more greasy than I would have liked but the flavour is still lovely and the chips are crunchy

I sent hubby out to procure fish and chips for us all on Saturday evening. Off along Ilfracombe High Street he went and not being local asked a Policeman along the way who directed him further along the high street. When he got there the chippy was closed, so back he went and passed the copper again and asked for... More

Lovely little cafe, very clean and well kept, the portions is massive and the chips are delicious very nice to get real chips for a change and not frozen rubbish. Staff were very friendly too.

Tried the shop for the first time and the chips were of good quality and were delicious. Could of done chicken legs as well as quarters as the quarter has a lot of chicken and legs are preferable.

My wife and I had a take-away on Friday 13th and definitely suffered bad luck. We have had many excellent meals here in the past but not this time. My fish was dry, the batter very chewyand half of the chips were still white. My wife said that the cheese on her jacket potato appeared to be processed. Gunner, my... More

Visited twice in the last few months, so as to get a fair assessment . They have a special, with mains and pudding: I had this both times. The venue is clean, the staff are friendly; the fish and chips were good, but it all seemed like a visit to an over-enthusiastic friend's house. The price was okay, but having... More
