Really enjoyed ourselves. The Dover Sole was to die for and the crab cakes for starter were lovely too. The owner was very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this place.

.... non-fish eaters as well. They went out of their way to provide a marinated lamb steak alongside our good fish dishes..

Nothing pretentious here. Good food in convivial surroundings. Breaded mushrooms, pan-fried scallops, a Torbay sole and the evening's only lemon sole on the menu (it paid to get there early...) were washed down with a bottle of Chiaretto from Lake Garda. All splendid, and served with a smile. Nice home-made (?) ice creams and sorbet for dessert. A very likeable... More

A lovely little restaurant tucked in near the quayside. Excellent service and a good menu.. The food was excellent, look for the specials for fresh catch, I had John Dory and it was well presented and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was small but has a good ambience..

My partner and I booked in here as recommended by the guest book where we were staying. And might I say that we weren't disappointed. We both had a starter which was lovely (I had the last of the queen scallops!) and both of us had sea bass for main but cooked differently. A great atmosphere and lovely staff. Good... More

After checking out the reviews, we decided to have dinner here a couple of weeks ago. We were the only customers for a little while but then a few more tables got filled which makes for a much better atmosphere. I imagine you'd definitely need to book well in advance in the high season as this is a lovely little... More

Happened upon this restaurant during a weekend away in Ilfracombe and we were lucky to get the last remaining table after calling late on the Saturday afternoon. Looked very nice from the outside and it didn't disappoint on the inside. A compact restaurant which hadn't made the mistake of cramming every possible table space in. The room was well decorated... An experience to be enjoyed.. a relaxed, informal atmosphere in this delightful fish restaraunt. Fresh SEA fish, not farmed. Reasonably priced with friendly service. Booking essential, which speaks volumes. Situated in the Old Town area, close to the harbour. Wonderful !
