Really wanted to east fresh fish at this coastal town and was reccommended here. They had run out of the scallops starter, but to make up for it allowed starter sized versions of some of the mains, so still lots of choice. Particularly good were the mussells in cider broth. I had sea bass for main and my wife hake,... More

Quite nice good but mad busy and felt rushed in and out. Owner was too interested in gushing over a couple of regulars. Pity we won't be coming regulars.

Really enjoyed ourselves. The Dover Sole was to die for and the crab cakes for starter were lovely too. The owner was very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this place.

.... non-fish eaters as well. They went out of their way to provide a marinated lamb steak alongside our good fish dishes..

Nothing pretentious here. Good food in convivial surroundings. Breaded mushrooms, pan-fried scallops, a Torbay sole and the evening's only lemon sole on the menu (it paid to get there early...) were washed down with a bottle of Chiaretto from Lake Garda. All splendid, and served with a smile. Nice home-made (?) ice creams and sorbet for dessert. A very likeable... More

A lovely little restaurant tucked in near the quayside. Excellent service and a good menu.. The food was excellent, look for the specials for fresh catch, I had John Dory and it was well presented and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was small but has a good ambience..

My partner and I booked in here as recommended by the guest book where we were staying. And might I say that we weren't disappointed. We both had a starter which was lovely (I had the last of the queen scallops!) and both of us had sea bass for main but cooked differently. A great atmosphere and lovely staff. Good... More
