We were booked a table as a surprise for our anniversary. The owner was extremely welcoming and make us feel immediately at home. The table was ours for the evening and there was no rush to finish our food. The food was delicious; the crab cakes, sardines, sea bass and mussels were outstanding and homemade dessert was to die for!... More

Went on a recommendation from our hostess and glad we listened. Booked stable for our wedding anniversary whilst we were on holiday and had a lovely meal. Fish superbly cooked and all accompaniments fresh and local. Home made puddings a treat so save room. Would recommend and would definitely go back.

We were only in Ilfracombe for one night but I was determined to have fresh fish, my boyfriend is so keen on fish so when we spotted this small restaurant doing both fresh fish and exmoor steak it seemed to good to walk past. We spotted the last table and the waitress gladly laid it for us. It was very... More

Stayed in ilfracombe for just one night and this restaurant was recommended by our host. Great friendly service, not too expensive but most of all beautiful food. They really know how to treat their customers well.

We were lucky enough to bag the last table in this fab restaurant. We were given clear expectations of the wait time for food (given a large table ordering before us), because they wanted us to know the score, which was very considerate. The food was wonderful, with well judged portion sizes - the muscles were incredible! The staff were... More

Taking a hint from Trip Advisor we booked by phone before our visit to Ilfracombe and it was a good job! The restaurant is quite small and all tables were taken. The inside looks more cafe like than a restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It is mainly a fish establishment with quite a short menu. I think... More

We were lucky got the last table on a Saturday night in August. The restaurant is small, but well turned out. I had sac;;ops which were very good, my wife had sardines which she said was perfection, then John Dory for mains cooked to perfection. Service of the highest quality, indeed I would say that the chef on the night... More
