Visited this restaurant last year whilst on holiday in Ilfracombe. Booked via email beforehand and got 'checked out' by the owner as my email came from my Mayfair Law Firm email account. Lady who owns the place had done her homework - good customer service. Food was lovely, as was the atmosphere; place was buzzing and one can see why... More

Not far from the Marina, this small restaurant serves fish in the main...but not exclusively. I had a steak...which really was very nice. The service was great, and there was a good choice of drink. It's worth a visit, And make sure you book.

I am not that big on fish but I enjoyed my meal at Take Thyme. It seemed like the sort of a place locals would choose - not flashy but good quality. Very friendly staff and I liked little details of the decor, such as painted rocks indicating table numbers. I thought it was a bit pricey but overall nice.

Really wanted to east fresh fish at this coastal town and was reccommended here. They had run out of the scallops starter, but to make up for it allowed starter sized versions of some of the mains, so still lots of choice. Particularly good were the mussells in cider broth. I had sea bass for main and my wife hake,... More

Quite nice good but mad busy and felt rushed in and out. Owner was too interested in gushing over a couple of regulars. Pity we won't be coming regulars.

Really enjoyed ourselves. The Dover Sole was to die for and the crab cakes for starter were lovely too. The owner was very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this place.

.... non-fish eaters as well. They went out of their way to provide a marinated lamb steak alongside our good fish dishes..
