Spot of lunch

Sat in the garden on a lovely sunny lunch time after a spot of Rick pooling on the beech. Great home made food. Nice out of the way pub in Lee.

We found the Grampus Inn by chance. Wondering around the pretty Devon village of Lee and seeking somewhere to have lunch we came across the sign for the Inn. Warm welcome, cosy fire (it was pouring with rain and quite cold for middle of May). Good home-cooked food and plenty of it. My husband praised the beer! Warm welcome to... More

We walked from Ilfracombe along the coast path and dropped down into the village. A lovely pub, dog friendly, with a good range of decent beers. A large open fire in winter and airy in summer if you don't want to sit outside in the sheltered garden.

Out of the six adults that ordered food six of us were disappointed. One of the meals went back twice. Lee is lovely and the beer is good. Will never go back for food or recommend the Grampus!

Stopped here with friends for lunch whilst walking from Morthoe to Ilfracombe, three of us had the ploughmans, two cheddar one ham. None were good examples, the cheddar was a few small slices the same that you might cut to put on a narrow cracker, the ham was similar small slices not what you expect at all. The salads were... When in the area, we always walk over to this pub from Morthoe.....but not again sadly, will we return. I am wondering if it is under different ownership now? Unkempt garden, cloudy beers, food portions drastically reduced and the "special" BBQ pork & rice, was certainly not in any way special, more like a children's portion and something you would... 28 minutes to get a cup of coffee, only on person serving behind the bar, dirty grubby staff that wipe their hands down their front of their t shirt's, Broken garden tables in an unkept untidy garden , i could go on and on and on .

We've been to this pub a couple of times on walks. The beer garden is great, lovely setting, the beer good and the food very tasty. The only trouble is the portions are small! At the end of a day's walk we really wanted a good meal and the quantity could easily have been improved by just adding more potato.... More

A party of 11 were booked and when we arrived there was only room for 8 at the table we were allocated. We were offered a larger table in the games room which we took. The menu is quite limited which would be ok if the food which arrived was of good quality. Sadly it wasn't and over all the... More

Recently visited the pub for evening meal. Being the winter it was quiet and unfortunately it was a little chilly inside. This didn't detract from the quality of the food which we couldn't fault. It was hot, tasty and plentiful. Will definitely return but perhaps at a warmer time.
