We found this little pub by accident. Its quite idyllic in a beautiful village. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food - wow! Its such a cosy place with a very relaxed atmosphere. I would happily take the single track road detour to the pretty village of Lee to go there again. It's such an unexpected surprise... More

This ancient pub is really best kept as a secret. But if visiting North Devon one can only say it's worth a detour.

On paper this place was right up our street - traditional Free House brewing it's own beer, wonderful location, home cooked food. We booked Sunday lunch for us and some friends in advance of the first full day of the holiday, hoping that the poor reviews on TripAdvisor were misplaced.... Our hopes were bolstered on arrival when we saw a... More

I just want to echo what other contributors have said about the Grampus Inn, Lee Bay. What a lovely little pub, with great food offering a wealth of choice at reasonable prices, with friendly bar staff & an idyllic setting. We walked with our family from Mortehoe, along the South West Coast Path via Bull Point lighthouse to Lee Bay,... More

Back again to Lee, we love Lee , but the Grampus is awful , what's on on the menu? more like what's not on ? to start with half the food is off the menu , I had a ploughmans, so where is the salad? a limp and sad looking lettuce leaf, why when such a small menu anyway? ,... More

Friendly landlord, staff and excellent food are to be found at this interesting establishment, situated in the village of Lee, good ales, cider and perry (try "pearshaped" if you dare)The landlord is a talented musician and Friday night is live music night I missed it but my family did not and had a ball. Beautifully converted from an old farm... More

We went here for an evening meal midweek and had a warm welcome from friendly bar staff. Food is home cooked and good. Pub has own microbrewery and serves excellent ales. It is a bit out of the way, but it is worth seeking out. Also does afternoon teas.

Lee is a lovely tiny village, leading to a small pretty rocky cove. This pub, has a lot of potential, but is shockingly mismanaged. Anything requiring human intervention is terrible-- dirty glasses, cloudy beer, watery awful soft drinks (with supermarket bottles as backup for complaints- I kid you not!), bar queues waiting for 1 poor chap to serve drinks and... We stumbled upon this quaint little pub on the recommendation of a fellow walker when we crossed paths during the inspirational Torrs walk between Ilfracombe and Lee. The village looks less like and more of a forgotten location, however, following the instructions given to us, we headed away from the seafront (such as it was) and up a track past... More

Stayed near by, and this would have been a great find if it had been any good. To be fair the food I had was alright, but the rest of the families was awful, never went back for the remainder of our holiday. The food was brought to the table in stages (I got mine forst as obviously it was... More
