Family Dinner

Excellent food chosen right across the menu, all tasty and filling pub food. The steak was delicious and the Lamb Kofta from the Specials board also excellent. Good value for money and staff friendly and helpful. Nice beer garden and relaxed atmosphere. Great sunset afterwards over Lee Bay.

Having previously visited the village of Lee for many years, my family and I recently returned after a ten year break. Having held such wonderful memories, we were keen to revisit The Grampus Inn as we had done on so many occasions. Sad to say the food was simply awful, not only did we end up waiting around an hour... More

The Grampus Inn is set slightly of the beaten track in the small village of Lee. It is a sprawling country pub boasting rustic beams, an ecclectic mix of furniture and a secluded beer garden. The Grampus offers a selection of local ales and Ciders (the 'Pear Shaped' cider is well worth a try!), as well as a well selected... More

We came across this place by accident and are really glad we decided to stop. Lovely location and enclosed garden, dog friendly and with live music from local musicians on some nights. The food was outstanding! Impressive menu, well excecuted. We had the chowder and the local smoked trout on rosti with poached egg; both were excellent. Well worth a... More

After a very wet hike on the Coastal Path from Ilfracombe we were desperate for a pub and found an absolute gem in Lees. The hot vegetable soup (desperately needed!) was delicious followed by excellent local beers. The bar staff were exceptional- calling for taxis since we were not up to a return hike in such conditions. They could not... More

A great traditional pub. Had a fine curry and locally brewed beer. (from the premises). Great location, would recommend seeking this gem out.

The Grampus was our regular eating place when visiting Lee Bay for the week in 2014 and we ate some fabulous meals there. However, when we returned this year, sadly the food was very poor and overall disappointing. We were a large party of 12 people staying for 2 weeks in the village but unfortunately for the Grampus they missed... More

Gorgeous English pub surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastal paths. The food is cooked to order and always very tasty. The beer is brewed onsite and is fabulous. The staff are friendly an very helpful. The open mic nights are thoroughly enjoyable.

We walked from Ilfracombe along the coast path. The pub garden is nice and sheltered and ideal for a relaxing lunch in the sunshine. The pub is a traditional building with nice clean modern toilets. We enjoyed the duck pate which was homemade along with some local Sam's cider and Perry from Sandford which was excellent. The garden was full... More

This is a great pub, with a good menu although I don't think it changes much. Home made beer, games, music nights (a collection of instruments available), friendly staff. A trifle on the expensive side eg we wondered if we'd been overcharged.
