First Class Dining!

First visit here 2 weeks ago - was recommended by our neighbours and we were delighted with the superb food and service. More of a restaurant than an inn. First of all, the food was of good quality (superb chips!), well cooked and in very generous proportions. It's not mass-market fast food, so do be prepared to wait for it to be cooked (although timings in the kitchen may be a bit off, because at least one of our party's mels had clearly spent a bit of time being... Very good pub and restaurant. Good menu and range of specials; and very good range of beers. I have eaten here on 5 occasions in last 18 months when visiting the island and it has never disappointed. I would book to be sure of a table because I have seen people disappointed.

We arrived early to a warm welcome from the staff. The initial part of the service was great. However once the drinks had arrived the service became less than average. The main course took 40 mins to arrive, During which time we weren't waited on at all. After the main course we were just forgotten. The empty plates and glasses... More

Visited twice for dinner during our holiday. 2 adults and 2 children. Excellent food and excellent service. Very busy so booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Good menus for both adults and children. Good sized portions and in all I would unreservedly recommend it whether you are a party of 10, a family, or even if looking for a quiet... More

After not being in the area for nearly a year we could not resist returning to the Yarbridge Inn when returning last weekend. Since our last visit the outside area has been improved and the pub painted which are lovely additions. The inside is still as friendly and welcoming as ever, with great attention to detail on the tables still.... More

We were taken here by locals for Sunday lunch in late August. The place was devoid of all atmosphere. The smell of gravy was overwhelming and, sure enough, the roasts and pies were drenched in the dark and gloopy stuff. My chicken and bacon pie was ridiculously salty and I don't think any of us cleared out plates. We certainly... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon as we were looking for somewhere that served a Sunday roast. . . We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked. We were not disappointed. The food was lovely, good portions, fresh veg, good variety of veg & very hot (also on hot plates) We were so impressed... More
