Me and my partner went in on a Sunday at midday there were about 3 other small tables of people ordering food and it still took 50 minutes for our food to be served, there were items missing and the menu stated that the meatballs were homemade when they were not. The staff were more interested in socialising with each... More

This was our local pub on a short break on the IOW recently. The facilities for kids are amazing, a bouncy castle, spiders web swing, and pirate ship are all in the lovely large garden, and a smaller soft play indoors. Our 4 year old loved both of these areas. The staff were nice and friendly, and were happy to... More

I will fully admit to attempting to leg it when we got into this place and sat down! The menu had changed but unfortunately the decor looked dreadful! It needs an urgent update! It was sheer hunger and embarrassment that made us stay...thank goodness! The food was amazing! The children's food was excellent! My husbands Mexican was amazing! The chips... More

We visited here twice during our recent holiday. The food was great on both occasions and there is a variety of choices. The children enjoyed the play areas. Only thing I would change is that the inside could do with a revit/revamp, it's the only thing that let's the visit down. Overall I would highly recommend.

Ok, so we attended the pub as was a recommended eatery in booklet we had, in hindsight, was probably a paid ad. Place was very very mucky and it was only 12 noon. Not much direction available from staff so had to ask lots of questions. Only after food order had been placed at bar & when I went to... More

We visited here on a recent holiday, and loved how well it entertained children with its excellent menu and play areas. The pubs real ale on draught was good too, 'Doom Bar' and 'Wight Knight' were lovely ales to try, while the portions of food on the menu were large and fairly good value. The garden was mainly set aside... More

This pub looks very nice from the outside but the interior is very tired and in need of a serious revamp. The tables and chairs need replacing as they are aged and wobbly. The food was ok but nothing special. Prices were quite high. The staff were polite and attentive.

Looks nice from the outside but could be better on the inside, is not one of the cleanest of pubs I have been into, food pretty average and overpriced for what you get, they advertise homemade food but my partners curry tasted just like what you would get out of a jar, on the plus side staff where polite and... Just had a lovely late lunch. Steaks were very tasty, kids fish and chips very good. We are always looking for family friendly places and you can't beat this one. Lovely safe garden and inside play area. Staff very friendly. We would recommend.
