I would never again eat in this place, 6 of us went and not one of us had a nice meal. I got the potato skins to start they horrible, I didn't think it was possible to make these to such a poor standard. They looked look they had sat there under a heat lamp waiting to be served for... More

As it's four years since my last visit I had prayed things would of improved, sadly this is not the case ! Table for 5 ( only waited about 10 mins so it was a good start ) We were seated at a ok table, not as cramped or squashed in as some of the others. The 3 course lunch... More

I had a pizza, and even for four pounds it was poor value. Horrendous runny orange cheese made us feel awful. Weirdly, the surf n' turf was about £16 and included an overdone steak and a few prawns. Not an attractive restaurant either. Nice staff and super cheap bill were the only redeeming features.

I just love Sambuca’s in Whitley! The food is almost always delicious and great value for money; the atmosphere is almost always relaxed and friendly; and the service is almost always excellent. Tonight was a special occasion, as we were entertaining guests, so I was keeping my fingers crossed . . . . . I need not have worried! Everything... More

The kids like to get their pizzas here. but for the fifth time in a row they have got our orders wrong. To be clever I ordered a takeout of 3 pizzas. They even wrote on the boxes what was in them...but it was something else inside. I give in!

Yet another satisfying meal at Sambuca with my partner before going to the cinema for a mid week date night. We were greated very warmly and seated right away. For starters we ordered the potato skins with are our favourites! They come with 2 dips and was enough for both of us to share. For the main I had the... More

Very disappointed. Booked a table for 2pm today which wasn't necessary as there were more staff than customers. Before we sat at the table we were asked if we would like anything to drink, I asked for a glass of water and my husband said we would decid when we had seen the menu. We waited, tried to attract staff... More
