Great value authentic Italian food.

Well worth a visit for reasonably priced tasty food. Great place in Whitley Bay. The Spag Bog was excellent. My friend had the Cabonara which I am told was very tasty. Drop in here for a great meal with atmosphere.

What can I say, I just love this place, a beautiful little cosy friendly Italian restaurant which offers a huge choice of menu, and some fabulous wines. If visiting the fish quay in North Shields do have lunch here...opens for a lunchtime special which would fill the hungriest tummy for just £4.95 for starters, main and coffee or ice cream... More

Just back from Sambucca after a midweek meal out with my husband. We were really hungry but had to wait a long time for our meal to arrive. No bread offered to start with, and I had to ask how long the food would be. My meal - chicken voldastana - was really nice. But I ordered a side of... More

We took 8 twelve year olds for my daughters birthday and to say the food and service was pathetic is an understatement. I had a meat feast calzone, which lets face it should be bread and butter for an Italian restaurant...not Sambuca. Dry flakey dough and the poorest quality ham, chicken, pepperoni inside which had been seasoned with a pound... More

Visited Saturday night (11/07/15) we hadn't booked a table but even though they were fully booked they made room for us.....the staff were very helpful and polite. The starter's are big portions....the mains are cooked with really good produce and the prices are really cheap...£3.95 for most pasta dishes and pizza's range from £3.50 to £6....I had the fillet and... Could hardly believe the menu - sirloin and fillet, lobster and scallops - or the prices, like 6 years ago, or the surprise at the way the downstairs waiting area is so dingy but a staircase leads up to the unexpected, a raucous and curiously bohemian dining room. The cooking was good and the mostly Lithuanian (don't ask me...) waiting... More

Everytime I have been the food has been good quality for the £3.95 lunch deal. However in recent times I have been I think the quality of the food has decresed. The minestrone soup looked and tasted watered down but the potato skins were good. When it came to mains I ordered the bolognese pizza, what I normally order. This... More
