Four of us to celebrate a birthday. Have been several times to Steve's restaurant. This night the so called maître de was very forward and verging on rudeness. Food was not as usual. Steak ordered rare/blue came as medium/well, and not hot. 5 yes 5 chips, ok so these were very special chips, as they were fried 3 times! Total... More

Went here to eat but felt unwelcome, and whilst I felt smartly dressed I got the impression that there was a certain welcome for the older traditional guest, and another for the smart, casual dresser. The food was expensive and dressy but slightly disappointing but I might be biased due to the 'poor' reception experienced.

Great service, great food, particularly the baked Turbot. Anyone visiting the island should try this place. My only complaint is why is there a man offering me pepper before I have tasted the food? Surely the Chef has seasoned the food properly?

Four of us went on valentines night. Busy night for a good restaurant and the regency was just that. However we were made to feel as if we were the only customers despite my need for gluten free. The food was splendid; interesting delicious unusual and out of this world. Service delightful with nothing too much trouble. Ambience just what... More

We went to this restaurant on 9/11 to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. Upon arrival we were seated in the bar area, coats taken and drinks served while we browsed the menu option. The staff were smartly dressed, polite and well spoken as they explained the soup and fish options available. Our order was taken-and after... More

Wow, so glad this restaurant exists on the island. If I could eat there every night I would. Staff are very professional, and charming. The menu is all too gorgeous. Love this wonderful restaurant. Very romantic setting too.

Have been here a couple of times recently for celebrations. Menu is not huge , they just do a small selection but very very well. I personally like the decoration and atmosphere and the waitresses are top notch. Overall I would say this is in the top five on the island and if you want a night out to remember... More

Honestly, we thought both the food and service were standout. The restaurant manager and his team were lovely- good fun and really felt they were working as a team. The food was gorgeous with loads of options on seasonal fish dishes as well as a good range on the a la carte menu.

This was a hard one to rate, as in fairness the food probably subjectively qualifies for 4 stars. However the overall score is reduced significantly by decor and service. The ambience of the restaurant itself is really quite dated, it's wooden panelling and dim lighting reminiscent of a member's club from the turn of last century, The reception was frankly... More
