This looks like such a lovely little cafe/restaurant from the outside that we decided to give it a try. The seating was efficient, the service was good and we were quickly presented with menus and our drinks order taken. Towards the end of the evening it was more difficult to get service. Shortly after being seated, we were given some... More

Food was good - well cooked and presented without a delay by pleasant waitresses who have to run up and downstairs from the kitchen at ground-floor level. Busy over the lunchtime but offered us a table downstairs. Ploughmans was a large plate with lots of accompanying small dishes and the cooked ham with egg and chips was beautifully cooked.

My Hen night meal was arranged here. All staff were very helpful. Friends were able to go and "set up" earlier to decorate etc. we had the downstairs room to ourselves and were able to stay quite late. A great night out!

With friends we went to this restaurant one evening last week. Tomato and courgette soup that was white in colour but when questioned we were assured it was tomato and courgette, tasted of potato and cauliflower. Queenies in bacon were not as good as those served at Port St Mary, the sauce lacked a depth of flavour. My main course... More

Because my husband was playing in a chess tournament in Douglas, we had the opportunity to sample the offerings at this cozy little cafe for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner. While the offerings were English comfort food, all were superb. Cheese, fish, greens, and other items were locally sourced and very fresh and delicious. The bread was outstanding. Best of all... We liked the look of harbour lights café but was disappointed with the food we got the soup tasted of nothing which was rectified by not charging and agreeing with us the scones where nice but all in all not what you would expect from looking from the outside

As other reviewers have said Harbour Lights offers a step back into the days when an afternoon tea was a must have part of any visit to a sea side resort. Did not have chance to experience their evening offering (had to come back to the mainland on Wednesday) but scones, cake and speciality tea made the afternoon visit a... More

Stopped for a quick meal on the way back to our hotel. We had not booked on a Friday evening, but they squeezed us in, and service was very fast. French Onion Soup is absolutely perfect, and our fresh fish dishes well cooked. No time to stay for dessert, but I'm sure that would have been just as good.

Always worth a trip, "Miss Marple" styled High Teas in a charmingly Edwardian looking Tea Room. Worth skipping lunch to make room for their Manx High Tea, where you have a Cake Stand to yourself with Sandwiches, Cake and a Cream Scone and a Pot of tea. Highly, highly recommended.

Really unexpected little place, as it a cafe through the day. But thurs-sun it's a restaurant on an evening. Great food and take your own booze!
