Cant recommend this place highly enough. Evening meal there recently was superb. Great menu with a specials board, with the emphasis on fresh local produce. All four of us really enjoyed our meals. Ambience is welcoming with attentive, yet unfussy, service. Not many tables so make sure you book in advance, you wont be disappointed!

I had the risotto which was bursting in flavour and perfectly cooked- no soggy rice here. My boyfriend had the fish pie which was so tasty and... More

The restaurant windows are opaque to make it more discreet for diners and it makes it difficult to get a sense of what it is like which could be off putting. But the food is excellent so give it a try We visited mid week and made a fairly late booking but managed to get to it in one of... More

This has been our second time in McFarlanes in 2014. It's the first restaurant I always book when planning to visit IOM. The food is superb in taste, quality and presentation. The restaurant is cosy and staff are pleasant and helpful. The chef takes time out to speak to his diners which gives your evening in McFarlanes a welcoming touch.... More

Visiting the IOM for the first time in 50 years since we where last there for a special occasion we found that the food on the island was very varied. We where most impressed with the fish restaurants and in particular Mcfarlands. A very good but limited menu that was served up by very friendly staff but what excellent fare... More
