I went here at the recommendation of a friend and had a lovely evening. Isle of Man as a whole was quite picturesque and charming, and this restaurant overlooking the harbor continued that idea. The food was delicious, although the wait time for food was less than ideal. Overall though, great food and great wine selection. Would definitely recommend stopping... More

We visited here as 2 couples. Not all restos in Douglas are open 7, 6, 5, days/evenings. We enjoyed. Good atmosphere. Good range of wines. Not a mass of courses choice, but all done well. Around £150 for us all!?

A good selection of good and wine in an enjoyable location next to the harbour. The dining experience was a tad spoilt by quite slow service and especially when we had to ask the same waiter three times for the water we had asked for.

Very nice meal and good service. I thought over £4 for a small bottle of Okells IPA was a bit much and couldn't find non wine drinks prices on menu so was a surprise when the bill came.

We had lunch here before going back on the ferry to Liverpool. It was a glorious, sunny day, so were able to sit on one of their outside tables, but there are plenty of tables inside as well. Our meal was delicious and the service was very good. Their menu was very interesting, with plenty of choice, using local ingredients,... More

Each of the courses were excellent and the duck breast was the best I've had. Service attentive and friendly. Will be back

Stunningly great food featuring locally sourced ingredients. The Manx queenie scallops with pesto and parmesan starter was divine, as was everything about the rest of the meal. Service was relaxed, informal and friendly. Lovely location by the harbour. The bill came to £50 per head but this included an aperitif, three courses, large glass of Malbec and a dessert wine... Spent a few days on holiday based in Douglas, and chose to eat here on one of the evenings. Really couldn't fault it. The service was really good: unstuffy but professional, and friendly. I don't really like the posey place. This was refreshingly down-to-earth BUT the food was truly top notch. A surprise given that it resembles a coffee shop... More

Everything about this place is spot on and is by far and away my favourite place to eat in the island. The menu/food is superb and a lot of thought has obviously been put into what they serve up. Combine this with the excellent friendly service 14 North is always a winner.

After reading the reviews and seeing mainly good ones for 14north we decided to give it a try. I don't tend to write reviews but I felt compelled on this occasion. On first impressions it looked very clean and tidy. Good atmosphere and decorated nicely. When asking for drinks we asked for a pint, only to be informed that they... More
