14 North attracted us for the perverse reason that round the UK and indeed the world we have dined in restaurants named by their latitudinal position. This place on 14 North Quay serves excellent food. Atmosphere is lively - chic young Manx people gather there. The service is friendly and efficient. Far from disappointing we have now eaten there twice... More

This restaurant is in a good location on the Quay in Douglas, The food here was excellent, my aunt and my wife had the dover sole which was cooked to perfection, I had the veal which was also very good with perfectly cooked veg. This restaurant is not cheap to eat here but it is well worth it.

located on the harbour side by Douglas marina this is a relatively new restaurant which has soon got itself a deservedly fine reputation. quite a small menu but some interesting combinations and sauces and everything beautifully done using locally sourced produce. Young and enthusiastic staff. A knockout!

Has a short menu divided into small plates (starters) large plates (main courses) and flat breads (pizzas in all but name). I ate queenies cooked with pesto in their shells and belly pork. Both dishes were excellent. Slightly annoying is giant peppermill ceremony - it must be more efficient to put ordinary size ones on each table; and also the... More

The restraunt is in a nice location, over looking the key...and offers a great selection of locally sourced meat and fish dishes. We shared a crab starter which was good and a fantastic queenie with pesto and parmesan starter. I had a perfectly cooked main of belly pork, that came with a small black pudding pie and a varitey of... More

Popular with couples, nice location on Douglas Quayside, outside tables if weather good. Seems to attract early clients in evening ,quiet by 9 p.m. Good choice of starters , we like the " flatbread " which are a type of pizza , the 4 cheese one with onions is a good one to share. Wine by the glass is reasonable... More

We dined there with friends. There was confusion about the booking. It seems very popular - no vacant tables. We were given a bit of a 'hard sell' regarding wine: £6.50 for a glass! Small bottle beer £3. One friends and I had the Pork Belly which was OK in terms of food quality, however, at £17 the portions were... More

Not at all impressed with Douglas IOM but one memory that will always last. Dining at 14North. Greeting, service, food, wine. Fantastic. Never to be forgotten.
