We arrived early evening and were seated by an extremely polite waiter, his service helped make the evening extra special. Nothing was too much trouble - mum wanted pancakes from the lunch menu and I wanted lobster Thermidor, an adaption from the specials menu that day. This wasn t a problem. Food was delicious. Desserts excellent, particularly the lemony chocolate... More

We had not booked a table and the restaurant was busy, however they fitted us in. Lovely service from all the staff, attentive but not overly fussy. Our party of 4 had no complaints regarding the 3 courses we all consumed, the food was excellent. You do not wish to rush through your meal here, time should be spent to... More

We first went there back in the early 80s and for old times sake went back there again. The menu had something for everyone, the food was good quality and well prepared with plenty of local sea food. The the price was OK, the service chatty and friendly rather than slickly professional, but you did get the impression that they... More

Staff very attentive, Waiter remembered our name just through making a reservation. Food was very good but very expensive. A prawn cocktail was £9 and I don't think it was worth it. The whole bill for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert and a btle of wine £85. Over priced

A slightly difficult place to sum up in one line, this. A small group of us went to celebrate a friend's birthday and I felt rather 'let down' by the fact it failed to live up to the 'hype'. The food was entirely adequate but in the words of one of our party "Not as good as it used to... More

Enjoyed a dining experience down memory lane , this Bistro type restaurant has not changed its décor in 25 years and recalls the days of a typical bistro, striped table cloths, candles, posters on the walls , and the accordion player. The food is all freshly cooked and snails are available ! I had as main course a hearty cassoulet... More

Very cosy restaurant with warm friendly service & good fresh food, freshly cooked & a lot of it is locally sourced. The garlic bread had real garlic, my prawn cocktail was not as tasty as it could have been but all the other dishes were great. Good wine & desserts. Well done.

My partner and I had 2 midweek specials (their famous onion soup and steak with frites) with ratatouille, desserts, half litre carafe of house red and 2 aperitifs (Kir) for £63 (+ tip). Superb value, great meal. Service pleasant and efficient. I can wholeheartedly recommend.

We both went for the classic combination of French onion soup followed by Fillet steak. The soup was the best I had ever had which is suprising given that we live in France for 6 months a year. When we could not decide which sauce to order with our steaks the waitress suggested she bought us 3 different ones for... More
