Food with a view

As we had booked we had a table looking out over the bay. This meant that we ahd a great view whilst being served with very good food. I had sea bass for the main and it was well cooked with very crispy skin.

For a recent celebration my friend treated me to afternoon tea at Coast, it was superb. The table we had gave us a lovely view across the seafront and was nicely decorated with linen and flowers. We felt like we were at The Ritz! It was so nice to be taking afternoon tea "properly" as so many places on the... More

We have visited Coast a couple of times now as we have family on the island that we visit throughout the year. We have always had really friendly service from the staff, they are always helpful and accommodating as my wife is vegetarian and can be quite picky! The service received in Coast is not like anywhere else that I've... More

A beautifully lit restaurant with a nice looking bar which almost stretches wall to wall. We were seated within the bay window area which provided a wonderful sense of isolation but not so much that we felt alone, with a wonderful view of Douglas Bay and The Tower of Refuge. The food was great, I had a lamb shank which... More

I visited Coast with a group of friends and we had the most faultless dinner. We were looked after so well by the staff, who were utterly charming. The atmosphere was lovely and we were lucky enough to have a window table. Dinner was beautiful with local breads on arrival which were lovely. Even though the menu isn't extensive a... More

I visited Coast recently and was pleasantly surprised just how lovely the restaurant is inside, the views from the window tables are stunning. I had the haddock and chips and my husband ate the lamb. The staff looking after us were so pleasant and friendly and happily answered questions about local attractions and what we should visit whilst on our... More

I've visited Coast numerous times since it's been open and I keep hoping it will be better this time but it never is. I will not ever willingly eat there again. The food can't even be described as mediocre and the whole experience is very odd. The restaurant was empty at 12.30pm on Easter Sunday so they sat us in... More

Due to the fog our flight was cancelled and we had to stay on the island for an extra night. Thankfully we stayed at The Claremont and dined in Coast. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the gnocchi, which by the way she says was the best she had ever tasted. We were looked after by Juraj... More

I visited Coast for afternoon tea on Easter weekend and it was simply divine. The service was faultless from Iva, who was a real star and so attentive. We also spoke with the very charming Coast manager (Maria) and she kindly explained to us how they had put the afternoon tea process together over the last 9 months. We could... More

This place is deceptively large, and catered very well for our party of 20. Staff were very attentive and the quality of food, wine and service could not be faulted.
