The booking was easy, timing and seating was a little crowded but the service delivery, food and atmosphere were excellent. Wine a little on the expensive side they are really pushing the mark well above the 100% corkage, but overall a very satisfying experience.

My partner and I dined here in September and found this restaurant a delightful place to eat. The service was first class. The food was delicious and I would recommend the lobster with the queenies. Overall, great place and I would recommend to all.

Thanks to Tripadvisor Tanroagan was rated number 1 on the IOM, the rating was completely accurate and the service and food from the lovely home made bread to the deserts, cocktails and quality of fish was exceptional. Thanks you for a great night.

Lovely small friendly fish restaurant. Exceptional food. Fresh fish beautifully prepared and presented. Kitchen in full view so diners are up close and friendly with the chef. And so we discovered that he had cooked for us before - on Rathlin Island! Small world.

We went to Tanroagan last night for their lobster fest. The food was excellent as always! We had their special lobster deal, where for £55 you got two whole lobsters with garlic butter, salad and homemade chips along with two glasses of champagne. It was extremely good value for money, as they were large lobsters and very tender. The service... More

This restaurant is faultless. Small and intimate, with an open plan kitchen so one can see what is going on- and can see how hard the chefs work. Superb fish dishes beautifully cooked with ample portions- there is a dish called Tanroagan fish fingers. All one can say is that it must have had very big hands! Attentive and charming... More
