Great spot

Popped in just for coffee on a bright sunny afternoon. One of the few places open along the seafront, there were others, but this was in a great spot for sitting outside in the sun. Only had coffee which was very reasonably priced, and was also nice coffee. A number of people were sitting inside... read more

The location is marvellous with uninterrupted views out to sea, the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere good. The main issue is the food is very average, so much so we have stopped eating and just have coffee or drinks. As a place to meet friends for a coffee it's great.

This place was recommended to us by a local for breakfast. We loved it. We arrived after 10am and were still able to feed our children a great breakfast. Everyone loved what they ordered. Great views too.

Attended here in February, with family. Pleasant location, opposite the beach. When asked for a gluten free menu, they were able to do this. The choice was fairly good, although a lot of the options were simply the same dish, with gluten part removed, without being supplemented for a gluten free alternative, which was a little disappointing.

The Met does the best latte ever every time, lovely staff, always polite and very friendly. Lovely sitting outside on a nice sunny day just watching the world go by, or sitting inside on a cold day with great views of the sea !!

Called in for a light lunch. Coffee was delicious, I had a yummy carrot cake - and hubby had a pizza which he said was really good. Staff were polite, food came quickly, atmosphere was good - lots of people in there chatting in the warm as it was freezing cold outside. Would definitely go back again as menu looked... More

The met bar is a fabulous tapas style bar on ventnor sea front. The view is stunning. There is a wide choice of food from lobster to pizza and because there is a tapas menu it means you can sample a few different dishes and share them. The chicken kebabs with the alioli dip are delicious. The prices are reasonable... More

Love this place Winter and Summer. Jess, Deeta and Paris are so accommodating and friendly. Perfect tapas if you just fancy some nibbles with a glass of wine. Well done girls!

I travel all over the world and still yearn for the Met cafe on a sunny winters morning. The best cappucino in town and the sound of the sea. Idyllic !
